Cebu City Post office
by freddie18
If you are mailing a postcard or a package to any part of the world, make sure you have it ready when you visit Fort San Pedro. Why? Because the post office in Cebu City is just a stone throw from the Fort.
In fact, I took the photo I posted here from the top of the Fort San Pedro. I am posting this tip for your convenience.
Jeepney
by jamiesamui
PUJ`s or Jeepneys as they are known operate throughout Cebu City. Each jeepney has a set route it plys & is displayed on the side of the jeepney.A normal jeepney ride is 6 peso.To ride a jeepney you just hail it from the side of the road.A tip is it is better to have a local or someone who knows which jeepney goes where or you could end up anywhere.
Jeepneys are a cheap way to get around but most times crowded & a favourite haunt for snatchers & petty criminals.
I have ridden jeepneys but always prefer to catch a taxi & my advice to a person who is visiting Cebu City for their holidays is to take the safer option & catch a taxi
Fast Food Dim Sum
by ai_ai about Harbour City
The restaurant gets really crowded at lunch dinner time. The waiters go around wheeling their carts amidst the small isle packed with hungry people. Each cart has their own category ( Rice, Dim Sum, Fried, Dessert, yada yada.....). So if you are hungry, you either wait for the cart pass by you one by one and select your cuisine, one by one. Or you can make acrobatic movements for the cart pushing waiter with the food category of your choice to notice you. Their Steam Rice is like no other. And I mean really like no other. It's not just a plain steamed rice, they are topped with either pork or chicken with sauce and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Feet is another popular meal. It doesn't look gross, promise. They actually look edible especially since they are so soft, you can separate the meat from the chicken with your tongue.
fishing in your seat!

Try the local SU-TU-KIL experience or the suba-tulo-kilawen cook set for seafood. First select 'your catch' from the variety of fish species and match what manner of cooking. Suba is grilling, tulo is cooking seafood in soup and spices, and kilawen is quick cooking in vinegar, onion and chillies. Then select fresh seaweed for more yumminess. Good luck!
Lake Danao, Camotes Island, Cebu
by Edsel
Lake Danao in Camotes Island of Cebu Province is considered the largest lake in the Visayas, and perhaps Mindanao. The total size of the lake is 680 hectares. This place is in the north of Baranggay Union and south of Baranggay Cabunga-an. This place used to be full of crocodiles; but fishes are still abundant.
