The Henry Hotelt: Cebu's cutest hotel

It was really nice stay at this hotel. The staff our nice, the location has several good restaurants. The room was real cheap for Php 2,800 pesos with buffet breakfast and hugeeeeee room.

Not all cab drivers know this place but tell them its in Banilad near Gaisano mall. This hotel is great, quiet environment, really cool vintage feel. This hotel is new and I am sure you will enjoy staying here!

The Orchard Cebu Hotel and Suites: For Business and Budget Travelers

Yes, this hotel is not five star, but it provides comfort and good service, most especially for business and budget travelers.

The Lobby may not have grandiose chandeliers like that of The Manila Hotel, but it is clean, and you would be welcomed by the Concierge/Front Desk Staff, with gusto.

The hotel is only two years old, so they are still experiencing birth pains, but they do listen to comments and suggestions, and hopefully, through the years, they will be one of the well-known hotels in the area.

It is just a stone's throw away from the new mall called the J Centre and the famous restaurant chain called Sunburst Chicken.

If you need anything, the staff will try their very best to meet your needs. They are very, very helpful.

The rooms, including the most expensive, are very, very affordable.

The Suite, at PhP3,500 per night(tax inclusive), besides all the other amenities found in other rooms has complimentary coffee, a microwave, a mini-kitchen, and a jacuzzi.

The Executive Room, at PhP2,800 per night (tax inclusive) has a bath tub.

The Deluxe Room, where we stayed in, is indeed very spacious as the website describes. Other rooms have balconies with a view. It is also very, very affordable at PhP2,400 per night.(tax inclusive)

The most affordable room is at PhP1,950 per night (tax inclusive)

Inclusions:

Plated Breakfast for guests of The Orchard Cebu Hotel in Mandaue City courtesy of the Vienna Kaffeehaus, their in-house restaurant/cafe, inclusive of delicious brewed coffee or juice.

Check-in time at 2 pm; check-out time at 12 noon

Children 12 years old and below are free of charge when sharing bed with adults (breakfast not included)

All rooms have:

Air-conditioning
Complimentary Bottled Water

Hotel Stella: Small but good

Hotel Stella is a relatively new hotel situated one street back from Osmena Boulevard on Barangay Capitol

I would recommend this hotel to somebody who really just wants somewhere clean comfortable to lay there head at night or someone on a trip to Cebu City to meet a say prospective partner.

Everything the offer on their website www.hotelstella.com.ph is true.

One warning this hotel does not really suit families as the rooms are very small even the family room which we stayed in is small but saying that the rooms are clean, 81cm flat screen tv wall mounted with a good range of both local and cable channels, small standard bar fridge, wardrobe for basic clothing, bathroom was clean but small.

Staff are very very friendly nothing was a trouble. We had a couple of issues getting the room cleaned but that was more miscommunication and the time we were leaving the room of a in most cases afternoon.

It doesn`t really have any outstanding qualities aside from the really friendly staff everyone from the security guards to the porters, cleaners, receptionists is a credit to the hotel

Plantation Bay Resort & Spa: All round great experience

Plantation Bay is for me always a place I will visit when I return home to visit my family in Cebu.

Our room was Lagoon Side (PE 11) and although there was slight issues with the toilet & air con these were promptly attended to & fixed. It was thoroughly cleaned and stocks replenished during our stay.

One thing I think could be looked at is wheelchair access to rooms. We were on the ground floor but there was still steps to get our wheelchair bound friend up.It wasn`t a big concern as there ws enough strong men around to lift the wheelchair but I feel it is something that could be looked at in the future.

The surrounds, lagoons, pools etc are kept in immaculate condition. The staff are ever & always willing to help if you had a question or a problem Everything about our stay this time was pleasing right from the moment we checked in until we checked out.

Our only regret was we never stayed long enough...

A thoroughly enjoyable experience for all concerned.

I particularly like the no tipping policy, takes away pressure of who and how much to tip.

The Ancestors Pension: Mandaue's Pension House

The place is great though small! Every room has its private bathroom which is very important for me with heater. Towels and soap are also provided. The small television has cable, making it convenient for you to have more options in what to watch. There's a small refrigerator too.

the room rates are affordable. By the time we arrived in the pension house, about 4 rooms were only available. We chose to stay in a deluxe room and paid for 1200Php good for 2 but since we were 3, we ordered for an additional foam bed and paid another 200Php.

The staffs are helpful and very courteous. There's also a luggage room where you can leave your things/luggage for a while if you wish to check out early. You just have to inform the receptionist about it. Checkout is 12nn.

The Ancestors Pension House is near the St. Joseph Church, City Hall, Department Store, restaurants, etc.

within walking distance: Nearest hotel from Cebu International airport

Hi There!

There are three hotels i can recommend to you. if your concern about the distance the Waterfront hotel and casino is just across the International Airport extimated walking distance would be 3-5min. which can only cost you $72 per room per night. There's that comfort because of the distance and its within your budget range.

Second hotel would be the Lancaster Hotel this is just 0.4 miles from the airport. i would say this is indeed a walk-away from the airport. A $50 per room per night.

Third would be the Days Hotel Mactan Cebu which is about $95 per room per night.

the three hotels i recomment is actually within the area and its accessible. Transportation going to the city proper is available and since you're going to bohol you can also ask assistance from them which is as easy as that you can have everything planned.

Pacific Pensionne: Personally - didnt like the experience

From Bantayan, we went back to Cebu and stayed here for a day since our flight was early in the morning. Upon checking in, we didnt felt welcomed. i am used to travelling and i can personally say that they are not hospitable. I know Filipino are known for being hospitable. When we entered, no one greeted us with good morning or even said hello. The receptionist that time wasnt that accomodating as well. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and no one was there to help us. Good thing there was a woman, i am not sure if she's the owner but i think her clinic was there on the first floor. She told us - please leave your bags and there will be someone who will take the bags for you. So i didnt mind this at first.

When we went out for a late lunch, it was raining, we asked the guard if we can borrow an umbrella, he told us, its not allowed by the owner. So its okay, its their policy.

The most terrible experience i had was when we want to ask the guard for a cab for our dinner. It was still raining, he told us he cannot get us a cab, he only take calls. So we asked again the receptionist, this was a different set of guard and receptionist. So she called someone who can get us a cab. And then, the boy went back telling that the GUARD TOLD HIM THAT WE ARE NOT CHECKED IN SO HE WILL NOT GET US A CAB??? what the F. First of all, they treat people like this, so if they are not guests, they wouldnt get a cab for them?

Is this how they treat guests?

I will not recommend this hotel. But if you dont mind the people, then you can stay here since its convenient, but personally, there are other hotels/inns nearby.

Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa: Hilton on Mactan

If you are looking for a clean hotel that has international standards this you will be very happy with the Hilton in Cebu. The rooms are designed with an international customer in mind, they have all the amenities that you would want and even have little souvenirs that you can pick up in the room. The staff at the hotel is very nice & friendly as with most hotels in the Philippines. The pool is comfortable and in the shade of the hotel in the afternoon. The beach area is also small but it has enough coral to make snorkeling fun. As with most resorts in the Islands, ordering food can take a while if you are on the beach, but the quality of food is very nice.

I have stayed in the Hilton several times. . . The price is typically more than what you find around other places, but it is one where you know what type of quality you can expect.

One unique thing about the hotel is they have purchased several Jeepney's in the same color Pink as the hotel. This is a nice service to take from the resort to the city. . . If you try to use local taxi's they are notorious for trying to charge 3 or 4 times normal fare. . . that is if you can get them to give you a ride.

Teo-Fel Pension House: Central budget option

Located in the middle between Up- and Downtown (tending to Uptown). All rooms have aircon, single/double with private bathroom (without TV) is 450 P/650 P. It's clean, safe and the staff is friendly. Attached is the Café Felicidad, opposite is a coffeshop, a filipino restaurant and a "burger machine"; round the corner is a bakeshop and a little supermarket.
Also opposite is the Cebu Regal Pension House, a similar place only slightly more expensive. So if Teo-Fel is full, you can ask there.

GV Tower Hotel: Nice location, nice city view

A bit underrated, GV Tower is perhaps one of the better alternatives to stay when visiting Cebu City, more so when you will be out most of the day and just want a cool nice place to rest for the night.

Nothing really outstanding here, but the accommodations are relatively affordable and come with the basic amenities (air conditioning, private toilet and bath with hot shower, cable TV). I paid only Php 650 for a single room, quite small though with not so good a view, but they also have larger rooms with full views and balconies.

GV Tower is conveniently located within the downtown district, and very near many of Cebu City’s main attractions, within walking distance of the Basilica Minore de Sto. Niño, Magellan’s Cross, Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, Plaza Independencia and Fort San Pedro, among others.

The hotel is just a block away to Colon Street, which hosts a daily night market. Taboan Market, where one can find a wide variety of dried seafood and other Visayan delicacies, is just a short ride away.

I personally like the location and the views.

The hotel has a café terrace at the 7th floor, overlooking Osmeña Boulevard.

The City View Function Room at the 17th floor affords a spectacular panoramic view of Cebu City, as well as neighboring Mandaue City and the City of Lapu-Lapu in Mactan Island.
