Cebu Island Hopping

by ranmcberns

Where in Cebu I could find the Island Banca for Island hopping? How much is the price?

Re: Cebu Island Hopping

by Mnavarro

I am from the Philippines in the neighboring island of Negros across Cebu island. I would not recommend you going on an Island Banca to do island hopping, it will take you ages and it is risky because it is very small. I would say depending on which island(s) you want to go to, take a Super Ferry boat (motorized).

Hope this helps.

Travel Tips for Cebu Island

Blue Skies and Beaches

by kingip

Cebu is one of the most developed provinces in the Philippines, with Cebu City as the main center of commerce, trade, education and industry in the Visayas. The United Kingdom based Condé Nast Traveler Magazine named Cebu the seventh best island destination in the Indian Ocean-Asia region in 2007

Carbon Market

by ahoerner

Just behind the City Hall you find the crowded Carbon Market, where you can find almost everything... it worths just taking a look.

Located at Briones St. just behind the City Hall, near Magellan Shrine.

Orchid Gallery

by limledi

If you need a change from the village life on Panagsama Beach, trips are possible to the Orchid Gallery, an orchid farm with swimming pool (out of town in the direction of Cebu City, 300m off the road, admission P10, bathing in the pool costs P30).

Bukilat Cave

by limledi

Bukilat cave in the town of Tudela is one of the more explored caves in the town. There is a shallow pool of water illuminated by natural skylights where guests can take a dip. The cave is an hour from the resorts. Entrance fee is P10 per head. The place is really far on the opposite side of the island & a visit to the cave lasts only a few minutes. Not really worth going to in my opinion.

"Welcome to Cebu Island"

Welcome to Cebu Island!

Come to this beautiful island which is the main island in the Cebu Province in Visayas. It is situated to the east of Negros Island, to the east is Leyte and to the southeast is Bohol Island. Cebu City is the capital of Cebu Island Province. It is well known for its narrow coastlines, limestone plateaus, and coastal plains which is the characteristics of a typical tropical island. Cebu Island is surrounded by beaches, corals mines and rich fishing grounds.

There are more than a hundred of islets and islands lined with sandy beaches and pristine clear waters. It is very easy to travel in Cebu Island and to go around other islands and provinces either by plane, boat or bus.

You are all welcome to visit the island of Cebu and the oldest and called the Queen City of the South.
