Tuxedo Business Suites in Cebu: Tasteful, comfy, and really affordable (Cebu City)
the place was very comfy, clean, with good beds and really cold air conditioning. got cable TV and they rent DVDs that you can watch in your room (watched Sahara starring Matthew McConaughey.) hot and cold showers although the bathroom was a little small.
stayed there 3 days with my travel buddy and spent just a little under $60.00 for the both of us (shared 1 room with a double bed). we are now staying at the house of a friend here in cebu but i would definitely recommend to others passing by.
the place is in the heart of the city and was close to practically everything. also, got to scout around the area and this place was definitely the most decent one around---almost everything else in the area was either kinda scary or sparse or not comfortable (small rooms with white walls, white tiled floors, white sheets and white plastic chairs!!!). everything in the area was in the same price range but the place i stayed at was so much more inviting than everywhere else.
my friend and i both really appreciated how nice and tasteful everything was even though it was budget accommodation.

Crowne Garden Hotel Cebu: You can get your money`s worth
I have almost a week long stay at this hotel. It was May 2008 and at this time they have a promo by having a discount on the room rates plus free daily breakfast for 2 persons. The hotel doesnt have complete amenities like a garden or swimming pool but I adored the cleanliness and the supplies with each guest rooms. Everyday the room attendants clean the rooms and change linens (as a gesture of appreciation I gave them chocolates from JApan)...The standard guest room comes with a refrigerator (where other hotel dont have this in a standard room), a bath tub (you dont expect a bathtub in a standard room usually)and a wall fan (strange! for an air conditioned room). But the closet is too small we cant put all things together. There are problems with making long distance calls also where you will have to go to the Business section of the hotel on office hours( quite a burden and you dont have a privacy for making phone calls that long). Breakfast is not really delicious it consist of canned meat or processed meat (corned beef or tocino) and orange juice is not fresh (its canned also) served in a small tumbler. They have limited tables in the breakfast area.
Location is excellent you have the option to have a jeepney ride to ayala center and sm without walking a long distance from the hotel. Its also located near Cebu`s nightlife and Dining areas. Cleanliness is good

Kota Beach Resort: Bantayan's Popular Beach
Kota Beach Resort is definitely one of the most popular resort in Bantayan Island. It provides rooms at very affordable prices ranging from P770 to P2,000 depending on the amenities. You can request for land transfer from Santa Fe port to the resort & vice versa. One fall back is some rooms require fixing coz it lacks maintenance. I showered & to my dismay the handle just went off, sputtering water all around compounded by a defective floor drainage that got stuck up. The resort also charges for food brought inside the vicinity.
Wide beachfront perfect for strolling.

Sta. Fe Beach Club: Bantayan's Pioneer Resort
Sta. Fe Beach Club is the first resort that you will see arriving the port of Santa Fe. It is very noticeable by it's white exterior building just a short distance from the port. The rooms are very affordable with plenty to choose from to suit different tastes and needs. Those who prefer luxury will enjoy the air-conditioned rooms in the three-story building. The restaurant, Majestic by the Sea, provides an array of delectable dishes, including the fresh seafood that Bantayan is famous for.
It offers the best restaurant in town, Majestic by The Sea, which serves mainly Chinese cuisine.

Indulge in the spa at the Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa, set in tropical gardens overlooking Mactan Island. Unwind at the pool and private beach or do business in the Executive Lounge with wireless internet access. Sign up for watersports at Cordova Reefs and later dine in one of 6 restaurants and bars. Enjoy the most expensive burger in Cebu with imported ingredients. Costing at least a thousand pesos!
Top resort with world-class facilities.

I have been in Dolphin House in June 2006. It was low season and the Dolphin House hotel was nearly empty. So we had the pleasure to receive the excellent service of the Dolphin House by ourselves.

Santiago Bay Resort: Camotes Famous Resort
Santiago Bay Resort has beautiful landscape & nice wide beachfront. It is children friendly coz of its shallow waters. No worries about stepping on sharp rocks or stones coz of its long and wide white sandy shoreline. The downside is its less appealing during low tide with the waters so far away. Its very nice during high tide with its cool waters. Its also very private resort.
Our aircon room for 3 pax costs P1500. The resort charges additional P150/head for excess persons. Room includes TV & toilet/bath. I find the room satisfactory & can accommodate up to 6 persons. Remember to ask for beddings which is included in the package. The resort staff lacks training & give confusing answers to inquiries. Food can be brought inside the resort and cooking outside the room is allowed. Cell phone signal is limited.
Long & wide white sandy shoreline.

Mangodlong Rock Resort: Camotes Top Resort
Mangodlong Rock Resort is more expensive than Santiago Bay Resort but I find the latter more appealing for its privacy & nice landscape. However, Mangodlong has better beachfront & more conducive to swimming. I find the emerald green color of the water so inviting. The downside is it lacks privacy coz it serves as pier for resort guests going to Cebu. Santiago Bay Resort is not appealing during low tide with the water so shallow. Both resorts have the same owner.
Nice emerald green color of the sea.

Casa Rosario: A Great Mid-Range Hotel
Stayed here for three weeks in December of 2007. Great place. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. Located on a quiet street without much traffic. Room rate was only P100 ($26.19 at that time). I added a fridge for P100 a night extra and in-room dsl for another P100 per night. Total P1300 ($30.95). Having the dsl in the room is so nice. I could work on my laptop while sitting in my robe and relaxing. Beats wi-fi in the lobby anyday. Restuarant downstairs. Half a dozen restaurants located in a small center next door. Only about 5 minutes walk to Fuente Osmena with a minimall containing a multi story department store and food court and many other restaurants nearby. Major malls for more shopping are a short taxi ride away, fares usually ran P50-P70 ($1.19-$1.66 at that time).
Casa Rosario offers air conditioned rooms with hot water showers, cable tv, free filtered water in hallway, safety deposit boxes in hotel office. Restaurant on site. Room service available. In house laundry service. In-room dsl and refrigerators available for a small extra fee. Quiet area.

Montebello Villa Hotel: Garden in the city
Stayed for only three nights. It is only a few minutes from the main attractions and malls. About 50-80 pesos by taxi to Ayalla Mall or SM Mall. The garden style makes it perfect if you want some peace and quiet.
The rooms are bit dated, and so the facility but was clean and air conditioned. the staff are friendly. the swimming pools clean. the free buffet breakfast just ok and the garden atmosphere very relaxing.

Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort: Cebu's Hidden Paradise
It was a long and winding road to paradise, but the three-hour ride from mactan airport along southern cebu's scenic route was definitely worth the trip. we just spent a couple of hours in sumilon but the place left us in awe. the resort is a mix of palawan and bohol, being located in a relatively small island. For those who want to stay for 3D/2N, sumilon offers a package of P13,000 per person on a twin sharing basis (all in) which we think is a good deal. we'll definitely go back there next year. just a reminder, when bringing your own car, make sure that the vehicle can handle the very steep climb from the wharf to the main road cause our van burned its tire and almost slid backwards on our way back. and take note that there are no lamp posts along the winding streets so the road is really dark at night. be careful of the people who like to walk on the middle of the seemingly deserted road.
About sumilon, on one part of the 24-km island is the shifting white sand bar which is a site to behold. a few strokes away is the marine sanctuary which unfortunately we weren't able to visit since it rained really hard during the time we were there. on the other side is the snorkelling area with its shallow water (just be careful of the slippery stones). a few steps away is the lagoon with its mangrove trees where one can go kayaking. in between the sea and the lagoon is a picnic area, a nice spot to just laze away with a good book. a number of small huts with bamboo seats adorned by colorful pillows also dot the resort. those who love to trek could follow a trail which could bring them around the resort in two hours. there is likewise, a small infinity pool with jacuzzi but a much thorough cleaning would be appreciated. the dining pavillion is big and airy and the food is really an art in itself. the chef makes sure that each course deserves to be admired before eaten. for a P1,200 day tour per pax, one can try all the amenities and have one meal (lunch - with a choice of main course but drinks are excluded). however, the resort shouldn't have required payment for the use of towels, something which we found quite absurd. P100 for towel rental (who ever heard of such a thing, considering that it's an upscale place) is exhorbitant.

Bigsand Campground: Nice House in Basdaku
Bigsand Campground is located beside Club Serena Resort in White Beach, Moalboal. I happened to spot it while strolling along the beach. Nice beach front with expansive white sand. In fact, nicer than the beach front of Club Serena Resort. I was attracted by the big white house so I took photo of it plus the streamer with contact nos.
Nice big white house with expansive white sand beach front.

Club Serena: White Beach Moalboal's Best Resort
Club Serena is really beautiful. It has nice cottages with spacious room. You can find a restaurant, massage area, swimming pool and a nice white sand beach. I would really recommend this place. It is also safe coz there's a gate with round the clock security guard. You don't have to worry about your car coz you can park inside.
Great beach with long stretch of white sand.
