El Gecko Restobar
by maryville
Found a place in the heart of Uptown district in Cebu City, El Gecko Restobar. A popular haunt of expats and locals with great international food, the cheapest beer in town, 30 peso and fantastic people. Multi screen TVs playing music DVDs and very welcoming staff!! I was new to the city and the regulars helped me with everything I wanted to know. Accommodation, places to see, etc. Big shout out to the owner, Marc, who even jumped in a cab with me and took me to a club. He stayed for a couple of beers until I met some people then went off back to work. Amazing bloke!!! Check it out!!! El Gecko Restobar

Club Serena, Moalboal
by limledi
The small town of Moalboal is located on Badian Bay in the south-west of Cebu, abount 90 km by road from Cebu City. If it's a sandy beach you're looking for, it takes about 15 min by outrigger from the mainly rocky Panagsama Beach to the nearby White Beach, or you can take a tricycle for P150. Located on White Beach is Club Serena Resort, one of the best in the area. Nice, clean resort with restaurant, swimming pool & white sandy beach. Clear, pristine waters with numerous corals ideal for swimming & snorkelling .
Green Lagoon Park
by limledi
Green Lagoon Park is our take-off point from Compostela, Cebu to Camotes Island. The resort has the same owner as Santiago Bay Resort & Mangodlong Rock Resort in Camotes Island. The park is nice & huge. It has picnic huts for day use. I can also see some rooms for overnight accommodation. The place is private with its own gate. Perfect for a day's swim.
Cebu Island
by barbskie
An island and province in the south sea of central Philippines, part of the Visayan Islands (Region 7). The island is nestled between Bohol and Negros. The province is predominantly Catholic, about 15 percent chinese. Cebu is comprised of a long and thin island, plus a few smaller islands off-shore. The airport is located on the flat island of Mactan which is separated from the main island by the narrow Mactan Channel. About an hour away from Manila by air. In the north of the main island are Bantayan Island and Malapascua. Further off are the Camotes islands, which are technically still part of Cebu Province.
The province has six cities namely; Cebu city (the capital and the largest city of the island), Mandaue City , Talisay city, Lapulapu City (across the bridges of Mactan island), Toledo and Danao city. The three cities, Cebu (in midst of the island), Mandaue (the northmost), and Talisay (in the south) have all grown into each other, and now form one contiguous urban sprawl known as Metro Cebu.
Many thanks to you who dropped by in my new Cebu page, leaving ratings and comments. And also to those who rated without statements. It's great!
