Samal Cottage

This oh-so-native looking cottage of Pearl Farm Beach Resort is inspired by the tribal crafts of Mindanao, but it does come with ultra-modern facilities inside...

Pearl Farm Beach Resort: Pearl Farm Resort

The Samal cottages is selection of cottages named after the tribes found in Mindanao - Tausug, Yakan, Samal, T' boli and the like. Interiors of these cottages are inspired by the arts and crafts of the tribe they are named of, but with rich modern amenities. Fantastic!

Pearl Farm Island Resort: Samal House

I love the Samal house, our room got 2 twin bed, with sliding glass door to see the beautiful sunset and sunrise while inside an air conditioned room.
The cottage is built as stilt house , patterned from the sea fairing local tribes.
Outside the room is a wooden verandah that you could sit and see the crystal clear water below the house and fishes plus other colorful marine lifes.

Inside the room is a cable tv, separate shower room and comfort room.

The motif of the room is Sulu tribe inspired, with hand woven tinalak on the bed.. The house is all natural, and dominant materials used are bamboos.

Blue Wave: Just for a day

If you only want to stay for a day, they also have "coconut hut"cottages for you. Though you will have to pay for the entrance for only 40pesos/person! It's reasonable though...:(

They have their own restaurant in the side of the beach and they have pretty expensive foods..

Blue Wave Beach Resort: Bungalows

A night away from the city. Well, our house only 30 minuts away from the island but being in the island is different thing. So, a night did a great one! The room has a seaview terrace(all bungalows) overlooking the Davao gulf. Has a hot water in the bathroom. You can choose a room with a ceiling fan or an aircon. Comfy beds and a Filipino breakfast. Which the room tariffs are from 700pesos to 1,200 pesos. Very good value and I love to go back there!

Overlooking the sea..
