Thank goodness for the internet! Casa Consuelo is a relatively new resort in Pagudpud compared to its neighbors like Hannah's. First and foremost, this bed and breakfast resort is one of the only beach front accomodation in this side of Pagudpud. They do not have a website yet but through research I managed to get an idea of this place.
The owners are a mother and son tandem who both loved antiques which you'll see at the rustic vibe of their place.Their amenities are new, they have wifi and cable despite their location and their food was superb.
Be warned though, the location of this resort was really far out. My family even became dubious of this place because they thought it didn't exist and we're driving to Cagayan already BUT, because of my persistent insistence we finally made it to this resort and they all ate what they said earlier haha!
1. Great views! I mean--you'll fall in love with this place. They have the Dos Hermanos at their beach front!
2. Lovely ambiance--like I said earlier, the owners love antiques and restoring old windows and doors to use as decorations. The place was rustic--I love it!!!
3. Good Food--We enjoyed every meal that we had here.
4. Lovely owners--Chad and his mom were great hosts, they hang out with us after dinner. I talked about how I managed to discover their place and how my family became a believer of this place.
5.It was really one of those great experience. Visit them so you'll know what I'm talking about.
hi i know a transient house near hannas resort located at blue lagoon beach and you can swim anytime it is cheaper compare to other transient house it is a fully furnished 2 bedroom house you can contact our tour guide kuya roland villaluz at 09275590818.
Will definitely recommend this resort to everyone!
2. Bed and Breakfast
3. Has pool
4. GOOD food
5. Friendly staff
Kuya Ruben and Ate Marife is the owner of the home stay. We stayed in the House for almost 3 nights and 4 days. they are so hospitable, even there own Gas stove &Kitchen wares lend on us to use. The home stay is safe. It is so cheap that you can stay in there house for 350php per night (in AIR CONDITION ROOM). The room that we've rented have 3-4 double beds good for 6-12 persons, and it has Bathroom.
So, if your looking for a place to stay in pagudpud for a cheaper price, you must go to Hanna lou Homestay.. :))
you can also contact Kuya Joseph about Hanna lou. Its a TWO THUMBS UP. :))
Since Pagudpud offers really expensive accommodation prices, we tried Homestay (Guest houses). Well, it feels like you're just at home because all facilities are included - Rooms, Living room, Dining and kitchen. Homestays are far way cheaper than staying in beach resorts. It's clean and comfortable and the owner of the house - Ate Arlyn and her family were really kind and accommodating. Whenever I visit the place, I usually stay there.
The view from Ate Arlyn's house is spectacular. You'll see the beauty of Saud Beach from the windows.
Homestay near blue lagoon beach.
Great deal at 2k per night (off peak) Best accomodation for family with kids and groups where you can do your things. fully furnished 2 bedrooms house with aircon
Pwedeng magluto, with refrigerator and tv set.
We stayed in an air conditioned room with a TV. There is a kitchen but you need to check with the hotel and make sure about its use. I don't speak Tagalog so my wife really did most of the communication in setting up the kitchen use area. We used the large kitchen table for our family and friends to dine and socialize.
We stayed in hotel rooms though there are nicer accommodations which needs to be researched before travel for general information. Since we traveled with several people we treated to the trip we did not stay at the better locals at Britanya Lodge. The Lodge is one city block off the beach.
Once you are at the beach, walking west, toward the windmills, leads one through a walk passing many other accommodations and views of the shore.
The beach is great for snorkeling and if you are brave, venture into deeper water and explore. There is a reef off the shore.
The water was calm except to the east of where we stayed on one afternoon. This was most likely due to a passing storm.
I stayed here at hannah's with my wife and two kids, and I can say that I had a great time, the resort is clean, staff are very friendly, and many activities are offered.
Pool, Heated potted pool, infinity pool, jetski, speedboat, kayak, Banana Boat, buzz bomb, ATV, Restaurant, Bar, Billiard, Theme park for kids
I have searched a lot and went to the bottom of it and found myself relaxing with a a home sweet home feeling at North Ridge Hotel...
Since this is my first time at Saud beach, so I won't comment if this is the best stay or not... but as to my own opinion I had a really good time in their hotel with very accommodating people and friendly staff and of course a very approachable owner, Ms. Tess ...
What I like about our stay is the feeling of security, from the time of reservation to the point of travel and lodging in, Ms. Tess has been constantly in open communication with me and does makes an effort of personally calling me at times she feels na naguguluhan ako with our accommodation. Everything has been well explained, the place and the area so hindi ka yung magkakaron ng super taas na expectations, plus they do have a website wherein you can check the vicinity area of the hotel before reservation.
The room is very clean and well maintained also fully air conditioned (our room has a 2hp air condition just enough to take away the hot temperature) thou there is no hot and cold shower ... but that doesn't count, since the shower's purpose is just for refreshment and cleanse the sea water ... basta stable ang water supply ok na ako dun. Reservation can be as low as 500 or whatever amount you may have or wish to barge in for your reservation ok lang... just make sure to do follow ups and give your full name so they can easily check and trace your reservation if you wish to change the date and make a room change.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who's on a tight budget but doesn't want to compromise the comfort and main purpose of just resting in for a price of 1,500 per night (can accommodate 4 to five regular size persons).
if you want to slightly slash off your food budget, you may bring some cup noodles here and canned goods... 'coz they offer free hot and cold water for coffee and juice whenever you like, just step out of your room and feel free to get some and refill your water bottles.
They also serve morning coffee with cream, if non is served in the terrace table, you may ask for it and have as much as many coffee as you want.
if you may so wish to cook food and ask for ingredients, just tell them the ingredients or what you want for any meal of the day and they'll be happy to assist you, just be considerate with regards to the time they do their markets para maisama yung mga gusto mong ipabili.
They don't have much amenities to offer and only limited to common TV, videoke (with reservation but its free to use, just tell them you want to use it because other tenants may have reserve it for personal use) free wifi and a great ambiance and view of the sea...
We stayed at this modest hotel for 2 nights. Recommended for budget traveller. They have a room for 2 for Php800.00 The hotel is 50 meters away from the beach. It is in the endside of the big Saud Beach Resort.
The staff are ok. The food is also good.
A very comfortable boutique hotel just opened in Saud Beach in Pagudpud, we were almost the first guests, very close to the beach with an affordable restaurant at the front with International menu. The beds and mattresses are European standard with very nice rattan furniture, hot and cold shower and flat screen cable TV and a mini frig. Highly recommended if you want European standard accommodation in Pagudpud at less than resort prices.
Close to the white sands of Saud Beach, just 100 metres. Service is impeccable and a surprise to find European style hotel elegance here. They probably have the best coffee in the province and have a coffee shop with good Italian machine.
I fell in love with Apo Idon Beach Hotel the first time I discovered it. "WOW" best describes the place and the ambiance. The staff was nice enough to allow me to go around and take pictures. Unfortunately, all rooms were occupied so I didn't have a chance to take a peek...Let the photos speak for themselves.
The room rates are quite intimidating (ranging from P4,000 to 10,000), but could be worth it for a memorable vacation. Ideal for honeymooners and family, too.
Apo Idon Beach Hotel has its own swimming pool and a wide dining hall that extends to the beachfront, offering a fantastic view of the sea. You can wake up early and bask at the beauty of sunrise in the horizon.
The hotel has wifi connection, too ;)
Our group was billeted at Rinnovati Beach Resort, a few steps to the beachfront. The facilities were austere but comfortable enough for an overnight stay. We had a standard air-conditioned room with a bunk bed, strong water at the bathroom with hot & cold shower and a common porch. We paid Php 1,150.00 less 10%.
The place didn't evoke a "WOW" from me, but neither did I frown. I would recommend the place to those who don't mind walking a few steps to the beach, and those who prefer to spend more on food and tours than on an expensive room.
Rinnovati Beach Resort actually has different type of facilities (standard rooms and superior rooms) to suit your budget.
Other amenities and services include:
1) transport services for those who come by plane, pick up from Laoag International Airport to Pagudpud and Vice versa;
2) Pagudpud Rinnovati Adventures Tour that includes Bantay Abot,Agua Grande,Paraiso ni Anton, Patapat Bridge & Kabigan Falls & other scenic spots;
3)Pagudpud Rinnovati Ilocos Adventure Tour that includes Bangui windmill, Burgos Light House, Paoay Church, Marcos museum, Baluarte, & other scenic spots of Ilocos
Visit their website http://pagudpudrinnovati.com/rinnovati_home.html for details and updated rates.
Rinnovati is in a compound together with other resorts. You can use the dining facilities of these other resorts. A few steps will lead you to the beach, so no problem even you're a beach lover. The dining hall has a good view of the sea.
We stayed at Saud Beach Resort and Hotel because we wanted to experience THE BEST accommodation there is at Pagudpud.
If you're on a budget, but you still want to swim there, there are government accredited home stay areas with reasonable prices nearby that are fully furnished. There are other beautiful resorts too, but we chose to stay at Saud.
It was raining hard on our way, but the mountain bikers were brave (brazen, really! =p).
The rain stopped when we reached there. Really. It did stop there.
The waves were still strong, but we were able to swim.
I love the place!
I must say that we didn't like the food much...well, it was not bad. Just a little bit "too ordinary" for a beautiful resort. The food is GOOD, but we expected better...maybe the executive chef was on leave because it was "off" season, so I'll still give the resto another chance.

We have our family reunion last 8-11 June 2011 at Pagudpud. We celebrated our reunion at Pagudpud Ilocos Norte to avoid the noise, traffic and polution of the city. We visited the famous Saud Beach in Pagudpud and stayed in Chalet Bami. It is highly recommended due to its reasonable price, very clean rooms and near to Saud Beach. The staff are friendly exceeding our expectation as they do not ask for TIPs for their service....The only problem with the place is when there is no electricity. They do not have generator for the aircon :-(.. , Anyway, the outdoor (beaches, falls) was so much enchanting that we did not have any qualms with the brown-out.
Pagudpud is simply awesome; waterfalls, rock formations, beaches, and other scenic places are must see in this small but amazing place
It has a roofdeck for great views and very windy. Canteen is available for you to order or you can cook your own dish if you want. The rooms are all Airconditioned, with toilets and heaters. It has free WIFI (common area), TV with built in DVD and you can select collection of CD movies FOC. There is only one problem that when there is a brownout generator is limited to light.
