HEM APARTELLE: Good Budget Accomodation
HEM Apartelle is one of the newest accomodations in Vigan. It does not boast of the old look of the other accomodations in the area, but it's very clean and accessible. The sheets smell really fresh and the beds are comfortable. With the price tag of only P500 per person a night, I find it to be value for money. It does not have a restaurant, but the abundance of dining places around the area doesn't make it a problem. It's located along A. Reyes St., two blocks parallel to Calle Crisologo. Parking can be a challenge since they only have 2-3 slots available. However, along Delos Reyes St. (3 blocks parallel to A. Reyes St.) , there is a pay parking area which charges a reasonable price. Room amenities are cable TV, clean toilet and hot shower. They have a good airconditioning unit (split type), which is super quiet. There is a mini kitchen which we weren't able to use because we always ate out. They have Wifi but wasn't available at the time we visited, so I can't vouch for its reliability. There are a lot of Internet shops around, just in case you really have to go online. The toilet and shower area is rather small, even for a petite person like me. So I'm sure foreigners would have a harder time using it. I'm not sure, though if some rooms have bigger bathrooms. We slept at the ground floor room. Also, their towels are not thick enough, so you really have to use the one you bring.
Their linen smells good, and the rooms are really clean.
