Racsos Woodland Resort: Iloilo's Secret Hideaway

Before coming to the resort, it's a good idea to book a room at least a month ahead of time. Racsos is always full of students. They cater to school field trips for kinder to high schools all over western visayas. During school breaks, this inland resort is popular among families, group of friends and tourists. I really recommend this place. The staff are very accomodating; the rooms are clean & soo spacious at a very low cost, we stayed in a room good for four @ 1000 ph only, located just in front of their pools. Rooms located in front of the aviary are good for 8 people costs about 1,200 ph. A resto is open 24h, serves all kinds of dishes, from light snacks to heavy meals. There is also a 'sister' beach resort with resto just across the road. For those who want to bring their own food, picnic sheds are available for daytrips too.

We have been coming to this resort for years. The place is a combination of mini zoo and hotel. RACSOS Wildlife Resort and Mini-hotel is located in Guimbal, Iloilo just along the highway, in Rizal-Tiguisan, Guimbal, Iloilo. Just a 40 minute drive from Iloilo City. Kids and adults alike will enjoy a variety of exotic animals. At the Aviary, you will enjoy seeing different kinds of birds from the most common kinds of sparrows to the rarest species of doves, eagles and hawks. At the heart of the resort is a sanctuary for deers, peacocks and wild ducks, even ostriches & crocodiles.
