Days Hotel: Iloilo's Best place to stay

by theguardianangel

Days Hotel is located near the Plaza Libertad which is one of the city's landmarks.
It has 24 room service, the rooms are clean, has easy access to shopping since the hotel is located in a building where a supermarket, boutiques and fast foods are found. The guest rooms are located on the 5th floor, just above a floor from the lobby. There’s also SM department store just a few meters away from the hotel also other authentic restaurants are found nearby. You also don’t have to wait for a taxi if you need one since a line of taxi are just situated infront of the hotel’s building. The room has its own bathroom and tv (that has lots of channels. I enjoyed watching at night even on "tired" stomach).

The hotel staffs are courteous and polite too. They will always greet you as you pass by.
We’re booked on a Deluxe room that has 2 beds and airconditioned that only cost about 2.500Php which I find very affordable. Every morning, a newspaper is delivered to your doorstep that will keep you updated on what’s going around the world.

Check in: after 1pm
Check out: before 12pm

In the room, there are also chocolates and chips beside the TV that will tempt you to eat but beware, it’s not free! There’s small piece of paper that indicates its price so be careful… haha!
The food stuffs are more expensive than its actual price in the supermarket.

You can enjoy a buffet breakfast as you watch the sunrise on their restaurant at the 4th floor. Their restaurant has this wide window facing the Plaza Libertad that will give you a wonderful feeling to start the day.

The foods were great and they have different meals served the next day. Rice meals, cereals, breads, meats and juices were also served… and I tasted a lot of it, haha! Processed meats like hotdogs and hams are located at the right side of the restaurant where you can order as much as you want and have it cooked at that moment. I love hotdogs that I ate about 8-12 pieces a day! I’m also fond of their brewed coffee due to its unique taste, very strong and rich aroma!!! Gawd! I really love the coffee!

Highway 21 Pension House: Highway 21:Iloilo's finest Low-Cost Accommodation

by mathildag

I haven't personally stayed here, but since the hotel we stayed in (Century 21 Hotel) was fully booked, some of our friends stayed at its sister hotel, HIGHWAY 21 PENSION HOUSE. They were also very pleased with the place and asked me to recommend it in this site.

It rests in a quiet place close to town. There are also lots of other hotels nearby, but word has it that since this Highway 21 opened, people have been transferring here. It offers a clean, safe, fuss-free environment at an extremely affordable price. Rooms start at US$9, which already include air-conditioning and cable tv! The site has a small canteen and also offers personal services. My friends rented a charming family room (for 5 people) for only US$27. It was a treat! The staff was also wonderful, which made the experience more like a hotel than anything else.

Cheapest place in town... but doesn't feel like it. The place is extremely safe, clean and comfortable. It's perfect for people traveling on a budget.
