7-AR Golden Beach Resort and Restaurant: Looks new and pricey
-From the pavement to outside signage and landscape of the resort, you'll know it's new and pricey
-From the gate, you can see they have beach front accommodations on stilts
-Did not stay at this resort, only passed by while looking for a boat bound for Buntod Reef

MG Hotel: They say it's Masbate's Best
-Stayed at Sea-Blick, not in MG but the two have the same owner
-Year 2011: Php1200 is the cheapest room/night; Single room with a/c
-Year 2011: The only hotel in entire City that has a swimming pool
-If you check in @ Sea-Blick, you may visit MG to use the pool for free (7AM - 7PM)
-Prior travelling to Masbate, emailed Greenview Hotel located in Nursery Street
-Year 2011: Cheapest room for Php800/night with a/c and free plated breakfast; cash basis only
-Greenview looks nice with a manicured landscape right in front of the hotel

St Anthony Hotel: Another budget hotel downtown
-Another affordable hotel in Masbate City
-A block away from Sampaguita Tourist Inn (2-minute walk)
-Ground floor has a restaurant but hotel entrance is on the left, a small alley going up the stairs
-Php650/night for a room with a/c (Year 2011)

Sampaguita Tourist Inn: Surprisingly Cheap
-Located in downtown Masbate City
-Beside is a local bank with ATM available (RCBC)
-Year 2011
-Php450/night for a single room with a/c, own t&b and cabled TV (poor reception)
-Php275/night for a fan room with own t&b and cabled TV (not properly ventilated, very hot inside the room)
-No blanket. No towel. Only the bed and a small pillow
-The Inn occupies the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building / no elevator
-Kitchen of the Inn's restaurant is open, across the reception desk
-You can see the cook prepares the food while paying your bills @ the reception
-Food option is a variety of Filipino dishes that range from Php70 - Php120 / order (Year 2011)
-Has 2 more branches; in Legaspi and Camarines Sur
-Filipino owner
-There are two huge MAPS in the dining room of the Inn
-One map shows the entire province of Masbate and the other is a blow-up map of the entire Masbate City
-The maps have information as well marking the major tourist destinations of the province

Hotel Sea-Blick: All in ONE
-Masbate City is out of power every Saturday (8AM - 5PM)
-All rooms have aircon unit / balcony or terrace with a superb view of the fish pond and the sea
-Basic toiletries provided; wash soap, shampoo with MG Hotel Logos
-Hotel Sea-Blick and MG Hotel have the same owner
-Cheapest room @750/night including a plated breakfast (cash basis only)
-Choose one from typical Filipino breakfast; tapsilog, tocilog or toasted breads with fresh fruit
-Should inform them what time you want the breakfast be served for it will be prepared in MG Hotel
-Dining area of Hotel Sea-Blick gives a very good view of the fish pond as well
-Room service for breakfast is available should you wish to eat inside your room (additional of Php20)
-Php750 room has a single bed with thin sheet and blanket, but spotless clean
-With cabled TV (poor reception) and own T&B
-Mineral water is free from the small kitchenette of the hotel
-Snacks to heavy meal are available for reasonable prices
-Choose from the menu that you can get from the reception
-All ordered food are cooked in MG Hotel and will be delivered to Hotel Sea-Blick after a few minutes
-SanMig Lights beer are Php60 / bottle
-Hotel Sea-Blick has no swimming pool but MG Hotel has
-Since the two have the same owner, guests @ Sea-Blick may visit MG to use the pool for free (from 7AM - 7PM)
-Sea-Blick is a little off the main road
-If you wish to go out at night, inform the reception to call a tricycle for you
-Free wi-fi @ the lobby / dining area
-Electronic cellphone loads for smart and globe

Baywalk Garden Hotel: Baywalk's Best
Another newly opened hotel located across Haya-hay Beach Resort. For tourists who would want to stay in a beach front hotel, this one is perfect.
The staff showed me each rooms and I've seen it real clean and neat.
Fully airconditioned rooms, with standby generator, bath with hot & cold shower, cable tv.
