The Next House: A visitor's only hope of accommodation

It cannot be categorized as a hotel really, not even as a straightforward bed and breakfast place, since it is something so thoroughly simple of a place without pretension nor extra amenities as to be just a place to bunk down on. This is the only place a visitor to Linugos can actually find an accommodation for. No luxury it is but clean, furnished with bunk beds, secure and even has an airconditioning to make your sleeping hours comfortable and complete under the searing tropical heat.

The Next House is not really its official name but it's a literal translation to its local name designation whereby the owners - Julieta and Santiago Ocot - merely refer to the green house for rental among dense coconut palms and brazilian nut trees as "sunod nga balay".

You'll be so welcomed here especially when the entire house is not rented out to a group or an entire vacationing family. There will be no board included but such item is easily gotten by going to the town's market and pick up food from there where small eateries or 'carinderias' are found. It is also possible to make arrangement with the owner for one to prepare simple meals on your own from the outhouse kitchen next to their family home.

Simple and basic that it is, the setting tho is undoubtedly unbeatable. You are in this very lush tropical vegetation and constantly full blooming gardens of the owner's wife Julieta but above all, the serene and energetic and healing Pacific sea right there at your footstep.
