bahia de bais: only if you have no other choice
by uysijessa
we stayed in bahia de bais primarily because it was free for 2 nights and since we were on a budget we decided to accept the offer. but after staying there i wouldn't really recommend the place to anybody unless you want to be totally isolated from the rest of the world during your trip. for one the hotel is located on top of a hill and not accessible by ordinary transportation. the hotel doesn't provide a shuttle service so unless you have your own car or have arranged transpo it will be very hard for you to leave and return to the hotel on any given time. second, other than a t.v. (that has only 2 local channels) in the dining area the hotel doesn't have any t.v. in the rooms. nor does it have any other recreational facilities (i.e. swimming pool). third, the place is a bit rundown (i.e. old). fourth, the hotel isn't exactly surrounded by other eating establishments so you won't have any other choice but to eat in its "restaurant" which can be very expensive. i could go on but there isn't much space. but just think, all this for P800 a night is definitely not worth it.
bahia de bais' saving grace is the magnificent view of bais bay that they offer and their friendly and accomodating staff.
