Feels like home

Very nice in the evening. Quiet and gives a relaxing ambiance. You can just stay up late and enjoy the peace in the garden or along the common veranda outside the rooms. Plus there's a well stocked sari-sari store just in front of the lodge, where you can buy almost everything that you need during your stay.

Service is good, friendly staff, quiet and secure. Definitely your money's worth.

Unique Quality: For people who wants tranquil evenings, i highly recommend this place.

Great place

Darayonan Lodge is located right in the center of Coron town. Very accessible to all places of interest. They have nice airconditioned rooms with hot showers. Rooms are quite big too and can easily accommodate 4 in a room. We got 2 rooms (P950/night for 2 and P1250/night for 3). That includes a choice of breakfast. Quite a good deal because we were given discounts on account of our being acquainted with the owner :)

A Home In Coron

Stayed at Darayonan Lodge 4d/3n last February 2008. Rooms are clean, with TV, mini ref & hot/cold showers. Availed their package tours all meals included (7500/head for 4 persons). Food was great and in large servings. You won't go hungry since even when we were riding our boat while in tour, they served us sandwiches, native kakanin and nilagang saba plus drinks for merienda. Also their picnic lunches were very satisfying.
The lodge is walking distance to market, bistro coron, church and other souvenir shops.
Sir Chin, the manager who is based in Manila, was very accommodating when I inquired and placed our reservations. During our last day, he arrived to attend to the SMART employees who just got in the day before. He even dropped by our rooms so he can say hello but unfortunately we were in the market. So he just texted us to ask how our stay was. He even add on a free lunch since our flight was late in the afternoon. That's what I call extra service!
Even the staff and tour guides were nice. The lady in the reception helped us order our pasalubongs - danggit & cashews.

Coron, Palawan Accommodation

Warm, friendly staff. Very accommodating and eager to help. Quaint, cozy place with interesting furniture and decors mostly made from native materials.

Unique Quality: Has a restaurant in the middle of the compound named "Raphaella's" with nice ambiance. Perfect for relaxation, quiet talks or musings...

Great place to stay

by anliz99 about Coron Village Lodge

We didn't stay here but saw the place since it is right beside Darayonan Lodge. It looks quite a nice and homey place. We did check out their bar and had a great time there. The staff were all pretty nice.

We checked their rates and the ones given us was P950 for two and P1250 for three for airconditioned rooms without breakfast. Great location.

Darayonan Inn

by faridamaya about Bed & Breakfast Inn

There is a another lodging in Coron called Darayonan lodge. Anyway, I would just like to make a review of this inn coz we were really disappointed.

Cleanliness - 3/5
Staff - 1/5
Location - 4/5
Service - 1/5

The location is in the mainland so it's easy to go to the market and buy your stuff.

Our major problem with this hotel is that it has no manager so the service is terrible. The staff doesn't know what to do because the manager/owner is in Manila. Breakfast is included in the price, they make you choose from a lot of fixed meals, but in the end you might end up with just bread because they have no stock for almost everything!! No bacon, no ham, no tapa, no longganisa .. almost all the meat products are not available. They serve butter and bread ... with no butter knife! Juice is supposed to be free but they have no powdered orange juice available so you have to pay for the mango juice that you order.

So, we went to the Village Lodge next door for our dinner. The service there was better, and the food servings were huge. I suggest you book in this lodge rather than Darayonan.

We were forced to actually go to Darayonan because no lodging is available because it was peak season. We were actually surprised because there were a lot of rooms available when the other hotels were fully booked. Why?? We found out sooner than we thought.

We met this couple who also complained. Their 6-day package tour turned into 2 days, they took the next flight out of Coron because they were disappointed. I pity them, because they paid the package tour in whole, and yet they didn't even get to go to the Calauit tour (which was supposed to be included in the amount they paid) because the lodge didn't arrange it. I suggest not to take their package tour ever!

There was no TV in our room when we arrived, yet it was included in the price. It took countless requests to bring the TV up, and they finally took it up when we threatened them to reduce the price because there was no TV.

The driver that took us to the airport was also very rude. I suggest to take the Shuttle Van of the airline you took.

Pinoy Breakfast

by f8stop about Raphaella's

This is inside Darayonan Lodge. We had a yummy Pinoy Breakfast for a fair budget. Great ambiance, too. Sound of soft instrumental music and various windchimes float around while you enjoy good food and impeccable service. i liked the rice meal with egg and longganisa...

Coron April 7 island hopping

by gurangna

My friends and I (2 men, 4 women) will be in Coron on April 7. We have rented a boat, big one, to explore Coron island and nearby sites -- Cayangan lake, barracuda lake, twin lagoon, skeleton wreck, banol beach, siete pecados and makinit hot springs. We will start the tour at 9:00 am and finish at around 6 pm. If anybody wants to join we can take in addtional 4-5 persons. Email me or leave a message at Darayonan lodge attn. Ted Brillantes. I wil be there early morning of the 7th. You can share 100 pesos per person for the boat. Bring your own baon (food) as we will not have enough time to prepare.
