New Hotels in el Nido
by thinknow101
Last year while staying at Lally and Abets, hotels were being built/renovated on either side. Anyone have any information about them: name of hotels, pricing? Have they been completed?
Thanks.

Hello. Anyone out there?

Yes we are here, but no one knows the answer. The name of the Resort right side of Lally & Abet is: EL NIDO BEACH GARDEN RESORT. The prices are not yet out to the public, but rumours say, it $170 per person a day. They are close to open.
El Nido Beach Hotel on the left side is still under renovation and there is still a lot of work to be done.
www.puravida.com in Ca'alan is operational now. A 10 min. walk from town.

Seeking Korean freindly resort
by ktourist
Are there resorts in Palawan that are Korean friendly. We are looking for a resort where my Korean friends, who speak some English, but mainly Korean can stay and feel comfortable at a reasonable price. We are mainly interested in kayak paddling and snorkeling.
Regards,
Jan

Greetings from Ulsan...
When I toured Palawan, I do not remember any specific places that were operated by Korean-speaking people. I did find lots of Korean in Malate (area of Manila), but not on Palawan.
The locals are accustomed to speaking with foreigners with the very basic English abilities (Korean, Japanese, Chinese, etc.). I do not believe your friends will have any problems.

If you are going to El Nido:
El Nido Resorts caters to a lot of Korean tourists, but this is a high-end resort. We stayed in El Nido Beach Hotel owned by a Korean, reasonable price, around $60 a night.
Hope that helps.
