PP to El Nido

by Bouncing

What is best way to travel from PP to El Nido (and then back). I am thinking of renting a car, but have heard some pretty high prices so far.

The bus sounds like a long, tough trip and am looking for decent comfort plus relaxation. Anyone get suggestions on who to contact or better ways to get to El Nido aside from a 7 hour bus ride?

We got time on the trip so I am ok with breaking it up over a day or two if that helps. Or should we just stay closer to PP if don't want to make the bus journey.

Thanks!

I think there are airconditioned vans going to El Nido or at least up to Taytay, the town next to El Nido. Maybe you can opt to catch a plane in Taytay or El Nido going back to Manila.

Not much to see in PP except maybe go on island hopping in Honda Bay and visit the Underground River. How long do you plan to stay in Palawan?

My girlfriend and I are chartering a boat to El Nido. Leaving Sabang midday on Jan 21st and we are looking for a couple to join us to split the cost (see message above). It is more expensive than taking the bus, but it's sure to be an adventure. We are scheduled to stay overnight and then to arrive into El Nido on the 22nd Jan.

Let me know if you're interested in joining or need further details.

Cheers

Travel Tips for Palawan

Puerto Princesa

Summer's from March to May. Nice time to enjoy the beach and get tanned. Plus the sea water is calm during these months.
If you are planning to go to Puerto Princesa and doesn't have a tight budget, you may consider Dos Palmas. If you're budget conscious, there are nice hotels in the city like Hotel Fleuriz and Legend Hotel.
