More Than Just The Butanding
We chose the Vitton Beach Resort because it was just beside the Visitor's Center where the registration for the Butanding Interaction is processed. But we were happy to discover that it was more than that. It has a pool, a bar and kayaks for rent. They also facilitate the Butanding Interaction registration and can arrange for the Firefly River Tour. Airconditioned standard accommodation with two double beds cost P2,200.00. The cottage we stayed in was spacious enough and had a veranda for those lazy afternoons. It has hot shower and a clean toilet. There were also areas (inside the bathroom and outside the cottage) to hang wet clothes. Guests have access to the pool and are provided with free breakfast for two. Kayak rent cost is P350 for singles, and P450 for two seaters. The beach is swimmable (kinda murky, though), but I didn't see any lifeguard around, so I guess you swim at your own risk. The bar also offers very affordable drinks. 3 shots of cocktails cost P100, and serves non-alcoholic fruit shakes at only P60.00. But, no TV/cable. We just spent the nights staring at the stars from the pool side.
Unique Quality: Their front desk personnel, Ammie, is very accomodating and friendly.

One of Donsol's Gem
Where to Stay
The vicinity with the enthralling black sands of Donsol offers a wide choice of lodging. I strongly recommend Vitton and Woodlands beach resort… The huge compound boasts of a peaceful ambiance that soothes the tired-est of the tired-est muscles.
2 beds are positioned per room and are huge enough to comfortably sleep 2 per bed which goes even for their charming standard cottages with A/C and your very own porch. They have a clean bathroom with Hot and cold showers. Trust me, its big enough for you to dance around. Rates are from Php 1500-2000. Really affordable considering even the President (PGMA) chose this place when she went on a trip to Sorsogon.
Where and what to eat, must try’s
Fresh seafood cooked in coco milk or hot off the grill, Aside from the scrumptious food they serve off of their menu, they let you have the freedom to inform the chef what you would like to eat. You just need to notify them in advance.
Another must try is the wide array of cocktail drinks at the Morena bar… I am very picky in terms of alcohol and mixed with the bar’s fine choice of music and picturesque scenery… I am indeed a fan. Oh, the sunset is to die for!
Reasonably priced cocktails at Php 175, the owner and the staff’s delightful tête-à-tête makes you want to stay longer and order another round.
The bar opens around 4:00pm perfect for that late afternoon cocktail with the sun beautifully setting in the distant horizon. Morena bar is open until 12:00am or if there

We stayed here for a night. The staffs are so accomodating. They have also a restaurant where you can eat Bicol Delicacies like Bicol express, Laing... It just besides the tourism office where you have to register for the whaleshark.

Great place right beside the beach
It was great to arrive to this aircon hotel after about 20 hours travel from Baguio with bus to Manila, plane to Legazpi, Jeepney to Donsol and finally Tricycle to Vitton.
It's really a great place, 2 big dobble beds and nice big bathroom with hot water.
It's right beside the beach, and there's a beautiful garden with coconut trees and a lot of flowers.
I was so happy to travel with Barbie (barbie_sunrise) on this trip! She booked the hotel, and tours in advance which made everything so much easier.

Best hotel in Donsol
Don't expect fast service, I think they have limited number of staff. So everything you want, you should come to reception and tell them what to do and it takes ages too. They will not clean your room unless you ask. You can't order food or drink from your room. Food in the restaurant many times was not available.
But compared to other resorts, Vitton is the best in location and facility. You don't have to take tricycle and don't have to walk (at night on the beach there are lots of street dogs who may attack you. My friend was attacked once when she was walking to other farther resort).
Unique Quality: Vitton has the most strategic location in Donsol, just beside the DOT office. The resort is also the best in terms of rooms (spacious), garden & facility, cuz I've seen other resorts.

Most Convenient Place to Stay
Vitton Resort is very convenient place to stay when going on Butanding watching. The resort is located just beside the butanding interaction office where one has to register and pay for the boat.
The resort has the basic amenities that one could require. The room is spacious and clean although insects such as ants and flies are also abundant.
Unique Quality: It has a restaurant and fresh fish can be bought from them and they will cook it for you.

Most Conveniently Located Resort Hotel
Since it is located just beside the Butanding Interaction Visitor Center - this should be the best choice to stay when gone whaleshark-watching. Much more the cottages are newly built. The air-conditioned rooms could accomodate 4 persons maximum. Spacious clean bathrooms. Restaurant by the beach - the sea breeze with a relaxing view of the sea. The coconut-lined garden is spacious fronting the beach for that awesome sunset viewing.
There are a dozen rooms at P1500 per night.
Unique Quality: Proximity to the Butanding Interaction Visitor Center - just a few steps away. Reasonable price. Wide open area. Beachfront.
