attending a converntion by machomikemd Legenda Hotel is the Only 5 Star Rated hotel in Subic Freeport, it is owned and Managed by the Malaysian Consortium Legends International and one ot the attractions here is the casino which is now operated by the PAGCOR due to some problems with the Owners. The Hotel has 234 rooms and the average price for a standard room is $ 85. This hotel is located in the Central Business District of Subic freeport and is near my favorite meat plus cafe/steakhouse and also near the baywalk where you can eat at other restaurants such as Dencio's and Teriyaki Boy.
the rooms are brightly colored and tastefully done and the convention area is huge. I would recommend this hotel for the "ambiance" traveller. Caveat: I'm biased in a way since I'm not fond of Back Packing. Ideal for family vacation. The swimming pool is kid friendly. During our stay, we were not able to take our dinner at the restaurant because there is a function for 2 consecutive nights. If you are fond of night life (live bands and stand-up comedy act), you can opt to stay at the ocean view. From the verandah of the room, you can enjoy the lively performance of the bands from Sybil restaurant. However, if you would prefer staying inside the room and enjoy the company of your love ones, request the staff to book you at the front side of the hotel. Hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. The hotel is a bit old and requires some refurbishment. Floor laminates are starting to peel off. Plumbing fixtures needs to be repaired as some of them are leaking. In general, I will recommend the hotel to my colleagues. Actually, we are planning to go back on July

Bayfront is one of Subic's newest hotels / inns which were made in time, intentionally or unintentionally, for the recent SEA Games. So being new, it has clean rooms and fully functional equipment such as shower heads, water closets and airconditioners. We liked the room that we got because it was facing the bay and it was lovely going outside the verandah late afternoon. My husband and I did not need to go outside to enjoy the view of the bay. The rooms are built surrounding a small swimming pool. I found it quite charming. Something like the set of Melrose Place. Selection in the breakfast buffet is limited compared to the full spreads that you have in big hotels, but tastes good and fills your tummy, nevertheless. This is a good place to stay for a couple or for business travelers. Families with small kids would love this, too, particularly because the pool is just there. Stayed at the hotel for a few weeks last December and really enjoyed our stay. Its a new style hotel (not renovated barracks like some) and is centrally located along the boardwalk area. Not much of a beach access there, but the sunrise and sunsets are amazing. The pool is a bit small, but for the price and service of this accomadation, its more than worth it. The best part of the stay would have to be the service. In travelling all around the world, I would have to say The Bayfront hotel ranks up in the top percent. So good, I'm returning again this December! Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Along the boardwalk...Moonlight Marina

Bayfront Subic hotel is one of the small, new hotels along the waterfront, few meters away from SBMA HQ. Nothing beat its location and the hotel itself is nice since its fairly new compared to the other hotels in Subic (see website for pictures). For a small amout, you have the option of getting the room with the beach front view (2,900+ as of 2007). The bay walk is just in front for night time partying. All strategic places are within walking distance- from the family oriented restaurants such as Jerry's, to the mid-wild Sibil and to the irreverent but recently popular Neptune Bar. Hotel has transport services to and from strategic locations such as Ocean Adventure park but a bit too expensive, so better use your car if you have one. Pool is accessible inside the hotel. One issue I have with the hotel is its breakfast. Worth 170Php, its not worth the money (few options of low end food like sardines, corned beef or tapa). Worst, they would even charge children of any age of the same buffet cost. The hotel I guess is "owned" by Koreans with the Korean motif and Korean restaurant but not sure why they would serve such food. Better take your 170 to Pancake House, which we did for the children (except ours cause we do not have any choices as it is inclusive of the accomodation cost). But ordering separately, I would say their Korean food is fairly okay. Overall, the accomodation is worth it and just ignore the food nuisance. Knowing it before hand would prevent the feeling of being shotchanged. I would generally still go back to this place.
Not really that unique.

Actually I'm planning for by trip and leaving for PH this 01 April2006. However I noticed this resort, which is mid-high end insisting me to deposit the full payment due to Holy Week celebration although they accept Credit Card normally. Why this standard. THis is making overseas traveller like myself difficult to book and plan my holidays. So I decided either to try my luck and walk in on that day or to skip the resort altogether as the staff is not so helpful in my booking with this rigid rules. I really dont mind spending more on better hotels in Subic if i really need to... Anyone has similar experience with this resort, or whether they tried walking in without booking in this resort, pls drop me an email or comment?

It's a good place to stay but far from the restaurants and shopping malls, establishments in Subic. But all good to me since its near the beach and beside the Ocean Adventure if you pkant o visit. They finally have hotel in Camayan Beach and opt to stay overnight or a day or two. You can even do cook out by the beach. Rooms are clean but a little small for me.
Beachfront i would say... I love the beach! haha! Theme: HotelPrice: US$80-120 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageDirections: beside Ocean Adventure

There is nothing fancy about the structure or design of Courtyard Inn, but you can see that the rooms and facilities such as airconditioner and bathroom fixtures are of good quality. But what will really make me come back here is the staff, who are very hospitable and warm. When we stayed here, they made sure that our bags are brought immediately to our room when we arrived and to our car when we left. They have also been helpful in our requests and questions. The food here is also good. Its restaurant, Aresi's, serves delicious dishes. Breakfast is usually included in the accommodation package. Courtyard Inn is located in the middle of Waterfront Road. You can easily enjoy the activities of Subic Bay from here. Jetski and watersports activities are right across the road. Casinos are just a block away along the same street. Cafes and restaurants abound in the area. We stayed at Forest Hills last April 2. We were a big group so we occupied five houses. Our guests loved it and they said they would bring their families over once they return to Subic. The houses have all the amenities of a hotel but with a more relaxed and cozy ambiance. For about P4,800 a night for six pax, Forest Hills would definitely be a great weekend hideaway for the family or for the barkada.
Forest Hills is a huge compound of three-bedroom townhomes about 10 minutes away from Subic Freeport Zone's fun district. As the name suggests, it rests in the forested area of Subic. It's like living in a subdivision -- with wide paved roads, swimming pools, a convenience store, children's playground, and conference rooms. The houses have centralized aircon, a tv with cable service, a fully-equipped kitchen, a living room, a master's bedroom with bath and a separate rest room. The bedrooms have two single beds.
