Disgusting place ever

I stayed here 2 years ago, and I couldnt forget this place, the first night, remote control for our aircon wasn't working.2nd night when my husband went to bathroom, to brush his teeth and when his googling his mounth, the black coloured from the tap came out. Its just disgusting !

pools are dirty as they say. The front reception is looking expectacular till you see what you paid for ( the room).

Went to Spa treatment, didnt get the hours that I supposed to have on that day, for my facial and body scrub.Therapist who is rude to me, not worth at all.

Staff is useless, they heard things but it came out on the other end. We paid to much to stay here, to get the worsiest experinced that we ever have. NEVER COMING BACK ON THIS PLACE

Unique Quality: ambiance are good but otherwise this hotel worth nothing!

Good for Day tours

We went to white rock beach resort early this week. We only went there for the whole day; didn't check in, we only stayed in a cavanna which I think is very expensive. All the facilities were good and very much enjoying; the beach and the swimming pools. My only bad review is that there were very few personnel. No one assisted us to bring our things to the cavanna which we had a hard time to locate were it was since it was our first time there. No one to ask our questions, we had to go all the way to the front desk. But I am very grateful for that one "kuya" who enthusiastically assisted me when i tripped and cut my lips. we're definitely going back and hoping they would cut down their rates.

Simple Luxury

White Rock is actually located outside of Subic Freeport, so it's still quite a drive. Being one of the oldest and more known) hotels in Subic, you can expect that their place needs some rennovations. Although they assured us that a lot of rennovating is currently being done (in order to keep up with the new hotels in Subic Freeport). I was given a twin sharing bedroom which is pretty spacious and clean (housekeeping will be tidying up your room and changing your linens everyday). Aside from the complimentary bath, soap, and other toiletries, the bathroom also has a bathtub, shower, and of course the toilet bowl. You'll also have a (somewhat) full length mirror outside the bathroom and there'll be lots of space to store your clothes (in case you don't want them to get wrinkled in your bag) and other stuff. There's also a small fridge for the mini bar items (that you have to pay extra for), an electric kettle if you want to mix up some instant coffee or tea (both free and the mineral water is also complimentary), cable TV is also provided in the room and you don't have to request for the remote anymore as it is already provided in the room together with the remote control for the AC. The staff is very accommodating and provides efficient service. In case you won't be going out to visit Zoobic Safari or Ocean Adventure in Subic Freeport, there are surely a lot of fun activities that you can do in White Rock, they have several adult and kiddie pools that have picturesque views of the beach, they also offer water sports amenities like banana boat rides, kayaking, jet ski etc. If you're not on a budget, you can try out White Rock Beach Hotel and Resort on your next trip to Subic.

Unique Quality: White Rock Beach Hotel and Resort has its own in-house spa (Sanctuario) which is open until 10 in the evening, it also has a pool table and videoke machine for those who want to hang out in the hotel at night. For water babies, they have lots of water sports available and if you're too scared to head out to the deep blue, check out their adult pools which are huge and where you can also find the famous "white rock". They have several in-house restaurants which offer decent meals, and if you want a tour of the resort, just have one scheduled at the reception area for a minimal fee. Day trippers will surely enjoy a visit to White Rock as well as they have provided cozy hammocks and cottages where families can stay and enjoy the beach.

some sports tips around Zambales...

by mlt_t

Water sports is just one of the many favorite outdoor recreational activities tourist enjoy in Zambales including fishing.

A natural waterfall in Masinloc adds up to one of the many potential tourist spots in the province that can be developed as a tourist park.

White Rock Beach Resort is just one of the Zambales’ highly acclaimed man-made resorts.

Travel Tips for Subic

History of Subic Bay

by jumpingnorman

The are of Subic used to be a Spanish naval port overtaken by Americans in 1899, occupied by the Japanese in World War II, and then became under American control in 1945 and finally developing into the largest oevrseas military base of the USA until 1991 during the pull-out.

We visited a friend who is living in the former base, and he bought one of the houses where American military personnel used to live. I remember going here as a young boy and playing with the kids of some of American friends then.

But after the eruption of Pinatubo and the Anerican pull-out, they created the Subic Bay Freeport where you can have duty-free shopping (entry and exit are controlled). The area also has 18-hole folf courses, beaches (windsurfing from June to October), a forest and two major wreck-diving locations.
