Be nurtured and healed

Nurture Spa is the best place Tagaytay has to offer, well at least for me. (www.nurture.com.ph). The place is just so heavenly, just sitting in one of those rattan chairs will surely relax your mind and body. Offers very reasonable price for a good massage, it also has it’s own bar and restaurant and Ifugao huts as well for those who’d like to spend the night.

Unique Quality: Nature at its finest, serenading you to soothe your mind.

spa in tagaytay

Accomodation was in an authentic Ifugao hut. Nice to experience the first time. They provide cushions complete with beddings and blankets. "Room" is quite clean except for occassional wood dust caused by insects boreing into the wood, didn't see any insects though. They provide an electric fan in the room. Weather is cool so you don't need airconditioning.

Service was excellent. All of the staff were smiling and greeting you.

Food was very good.

Try to avoid going there during the rainy season. If you can't, bring mosquito repellant.

Unique Quality: This is an excellent place to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. You are treated to soothing music around you. They offer several relaxing massages (although I find them too short at 1hour per session)

They offer day trips with a foot massage or overnight packages with a full body massage. Checkout their website at www.nurture.com.ph

Pamper Yourself in Tagaytay

This is actually a spa which has huts where you can stay overnight. the huts are not airconditioned but there are also aircon cottages.
the food is pretty ok.
if you're just looking for accomodations, i don't recommend staying here!
but if you want a massage, then i would recommend this place.

Unique Quality: Nice gardens

The farm in San Benito

by Doreenlim

For this trip 15-24th Nov. we like to have a destressing holiday. Has anyone been to this wellness farm? We intend to stay in Shangrila Edsa for a few days and spend a few nights in San Benito farm for some 'pampering' treatment. How far is it from Manila? San Benito farm charges USD$120/p.pax for transportation. But they didn't say by what mode of transport.
I've also heard of The Spa in Alabang-Tropical; Bel-air-Moroccan, Acropolis and Greenbelt - Minimalist Thai. Any advise?

San Benito Farm is located in Lipa City, Batangas. It is around 1.5 to 2 hours by land from Manila, going South. You may visit their website: www.thefarm.com.ph

Asianbelle,
Thks foryour reply. Looks like San B. farm's charge of USD@120/person is too high considering its only 1.5-2 hrs by land.
How do we go there by ourself? Is there a need to catch a ferry across to the island? Must we pre-book before arriving Manila and also before arriving the farm? What other recc. and advise can you give?

Personally, USD120 per pax for transpo is on the high side. I know you won't spend as much even if you rent a car with driver. However, as Jon mentioned, San Benito's clientele is also on the high end of society.

I am really not familiar with the farm, whether it's in Lipa proper or an island off Lipa. I think, their website could give this info. Again, you could take Jon's suggestion of looking up Nurture Spa. Tagaytay is almost the same distance as Lipa from Manila going South (around 1 to 1.5 hours by land). Tagaytay is elevated hence the climate is cooler and more appropriate for relaxation. You could also view Taal Lake and Volcano. A tip though, recent news reported that the volcano is manifesting signs of activity.

Dear Asianbelle,
Thks for your reply. Tagaytay sounds an interesting place. But your tip re: the active volcano is rather frightening. What if it erupts while we are there - around 19-22 Nov.? How do I find out about this possibility?

Re: Re: The farm in San Benito

You may visit the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology site: www.phivolcs.dost.gov.ph

The site will give you updated information as they are monitoring all volcanic activities in the country round the clock. Anyway, for your peace of mind, they reported that they don't expect Taal Volcano's activity to heighten in the coming weeks.

Have a relaxing stay in Tagaytay.
