"Traveling from manila to tagaytay"
Traveling from Manila to Tagaytay is a very relaxing time for me, this is the time where I can unwind and of course enjoy the scenic view of Taal Lake. Plan to visit this place ??? There is a bus terminal beside Alimall in Cubao just look for the SAN AGUSTIN BUS they traveled from 8:00 AM-8:PM from Cubao to Cavite, Tagaytay, along way to Nasugbu Batangas(vise versa) tell to their friendly conductor that your stop will be in "Olivares Plaza" there you can find a good place to stay,(Tagaytay Country Hotel) slight expensive but good acomodation, you can also find resturant, fast food, drug store, church, etc. but if your looking for a good and cheap place to stay I recommend "AMORAS HOME" from olivares plaza you can ride a tricycle or jeep to peoples park (but trycle will ask 3x fair 40-50pesos) (7pesos fair for jeep) just a few walk from peoples park you can see their sign Amoras Home 24hrs there place is good, clean, 100% safe and a walking distance to Peoples Park (picnic grove) room rate from Php1,200(non aircon) Php1,500(aircon) nice parking area and a very friendly Lady who own that place...
Note: Do not transact with some tricycle driver to avoid extra charges.......

"Rest, Relax and Indulge"
Since it is just a 2hour drive away from Manila, Tagaytay is the city-peeps quick getaway from stressessss Manila has to offer.
The nice weather, kind and helpful locals, delicious foods and a handful of spa/massage centers makes you want to extend your stay a bit longer then come back again and again and again.
Pack light. Convenient stores are very easy to find.
"Transportation"
There are many bus lines along Edsa going to Tagaytay.
Most bus lines operates as early as 5am and every hour after that till 10pm.
I cant remember what bus line we took but its located along right side of TAFT AVE., before Edsa LRT Station if you are from the north. Its situated in front of a gas station, CALTEX/PETRON/SHELL, i cannot really be sure.
Our fare was PHP 72.00/pax
Tell the conductor to drop you off in Olivarez (Jeep terminals, Joliibee, Rotonda), and there you will be, two hours later, at the heart of Tagaytay City, where you can take jeepneys/trycs to take you to your destination.
"Accomodation"
Accomodation, should you decide to spend the night, range from home-turned-into-inns to classy hotels.
You might want to make reservations if you plan to go there on weekends/holidays, specially if you want to stay in classy places..
I recommend T HOUSE, looks really inviting. Sorry for us the place is fully booked!!!
We stayed at TAGAYTAY COUNTRY HOTEL instead, a cheaper place and we give it a THUMBS UP!
For more details, see my Travel tips.
Hope it will serve as helpful as the ones i read when we were planning the trip and hazd no idea what to do..

Sorry I cannot help you on Tagaytay Country Hotel. I have not heard of it nor have I seen it, but then again, I am not Filipino living in Tagaytay, tho I have been Tagaytay more than 5 occasions.
My 2 cents take -
Real good one is the Taal Vista - good location, excellent rooms and services, click into googles and type "taal vista" and check the latest rates. Located at Tagaytay. Lovely romantic view of the Taal volcano.
Medium one is the Royal Taal - also located at Tagaytay
My favourite though is the San Roque Beach Resort - located at San Roque which is the take off point to the volcano island. Cheap, right next to the waters, but away from Tagaytay, so depends on what you want.
Anyway nothing much to do at night in Tagaytay unless you wanna gamble, Taal Vista is pretty near.

Hi Victor,
The Taal Vista is abit too expensive for us.
We should be taking the Royal Taal Inn.
Thank a million!!!

My husband has stayed there overnight and seems like he liked it such that he is scheduling an overnight stay for us. It's a very new place so I believe the rooms are in tip top condition.

Jastina, perhaps you should stay at Tagaytay Country Hotel and give us a review of the place. Jane is a very reliable contributor and it would be good if someone stays there and give us pictures, opinion of services etc etc.
Where is the hotel situated ?
