Although a bit out of the way but I recommend the Gallery Evason Hotel. It's an ultra modern hotel with a glass pool. It's on Robertson Quay, and the views of the hotel are tranquil and not the hustle and bustle of Orchard Street. The rooms are comfortable and so modern. The room numbers are not on the door but on the floor. A must for the hip traveler. Expensive but watch out for good packages. Our 3 night stay cost about $200 US.
Modern, Posh, Unique, has a glass pool and the rooms are very modern. Lights have sensors and turn on when you get out of bed. Modern bathroom with glass shower and stainless steel sink. Theme: HotelComparison: about averageAddress: Robertson Quay, Singapore.

by Adeline_Foo THE NEW 7TH STOREY HOTEL
Built in 1953, the New 7th Storey Hotel is landmark of a bygone era. In fact, this building has resided in the same spot for the last 47 years. New 7th Storey Hotel is not what its name suggests. It actually has nine storey with 38 rooms to cater to the budget conscious traveller. The hotel also offers travellers a quaint side of Singapore with its spiral staircase and a lift that can still be operated manually. by Adeline_Foo In multi-cultural Singapore, it is not surprising that the visionary founders of RAFFLES HOTEL were a quartet of enterprising Armenian brothers; Martin, Tigran, Aviet and Arshak Sarkies. Opened in 1887 in a sprawling colonial bungalow known as Beach House, the Hotel was named after Sir Stamford Raffles, founder of modern Singapore. Over the years, the hotel has evolved into one of the world’s most beloved Grande Hotels and welcomed innumerable celebrities, writers, and royalty. Declared a National Monument in 1987, the Hotel has grown from strength to strength. With its restoration and re-opening in 1991, Raffles Hotel today stands as a jewel in the crown of Singapore's hospitality industry, renowned and loved for it's inimitable style and unsurpassed excellence in service and facilities.
