Although it is hot and humid in Singapore and KL, I guess its not quite as bad as MUmbai.
Expect showers periodically.

Singapore is also going to be hot and humid. Why not consider a place like Halong Bay for your honeymoon? It's not that much further, and a lovely cruise would be ideal!

May in Singapore is the beginning of hot and dry period. However, things have changed quite a bit over here. In June last year, we saw a few rare heavy rainfalls and some isolated flooding.
As for moving around and getting to places, a dry weather is preferred and May so be fine.

depends how many days you have and whats your budget, I will suggest you to dont give SG a bother for your honeymoon except for 2-3 days of stay. Its not that I dont like SG, but imo its not a honeymoon place at all, although very clean and safe.
Rather I would suggest you to allocate more days to Malaysia. Langkawi would be one dream place with white sand beaches and serene ambiance. To get get some cool and fresh air you can also spend a couple of nights, or even more, in the beautiful Camerone Highlands, and not island, which is around half way from KL-Langkawi
wherever you go, have a great trip :)

Hi there,
Firstly, congrats on a honeymoon in May! :)
While weather-wise, we might be expecting heat and humidity, there could still be some rains... hard to tell since the weather's all been going off-beat, isn't it?
There are many things to do in Singapore whilst on a honeymoon...
1. Romantic dinner on the Singapore Flyer -- more for the novelty ;)
2. Drinks at Skyon57 at the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) for a spectacular view of the Singapore skyline
3. Catch a drama performance -- check www.sistic.com.sg or musical "The Lion King" at MBS, or Voyage de la Vie at Resorts World Sentosa (booking on Sistic as well)
4. There is of course, Universal Studios at Sentosa for a full day of fun!
5. Take a walk through the museum -- a personal favourite: The Peranakan Museum
6. Enjoy a spa treat
7. Experience the award-winning Singapore Zoo and Night Safari
8. Chill out at Dempsey Hill after a walk at the nearby Botanic Gardens
9. Go for a bit of shopping at Orchard Road (though the Great Singapore Sale starts on 27 May -- 24 Jul 2011)
10. Stay in a boutique hotel like The Scarlet Hotel or The New Majestic Hotel
Hope this helps! :)
smiles,
Francesca
Travel Tips for Singapore
Raffles Hotel - The Long Bar
by Mikebb
I had visited the Long Bar in 1977 and 1983 and after an absence of 26 years returned with my wife to see what had changed. It looked exactly the same as when we visited in1983, however it is now a non smoking venue.
The peanuts remain and after some thought and a few drinks I found out the only thing that had changed "Prices".
On holiday why worry about prices in such a priceless bar. We returned 5 days later with some Aussie friends who arrived on an overnight stopover on their way to Europe. One could say after an absence of 26 years we "over indulged".

Visiting Singapore during Christmas
by bkarjee
Its a pleasure to be in Singapore during Christmas. All shops are open and there are lot of sales promotions going on during this period, where you can get very good bargains. The main city area is at its festive best and Orchard road (in heart of the city) is decorated for more than 3 KM stretch. You will never regret your decision
Overnight stay

If you are pressed for time and will only stay in Singapore for one night, plan your itenerary well. We arrived in Singapore from KL around 1pm, had a quick shower at the hotel, grab our bag & went shopping! We had to be back at the hotel by 5pm as we will go to the Night Safari. Went back to the city around 10pm & had dinner (tried some local food!). Woke up 6pm & caught the train going to Sentosa. Visited Carlsberg Sky Tower, The Merlion, Underwater World & Dolphin Lagoon. Have to rush back to the hotel for the bus will leave 1pm for KL.

Singapore Weather Info
by ahcoln
The climate of Singapore can be divided into two main seasons, the Northeast Monsoon (December to early March) and the Southwest Monsoon season (June to September), separated by two relatively short inter-monsoon periods. (These seasons are usually found in more academic contexts and are not generally familiar to laypeople in Singapore.) During the Northeast Monsoon season, northeast winds prevail, sometimes reaching 20 km/h. Cloudy conditions in December and January with frequent afternoon showers. Spells of widespread moderate to heavy rain occur lasting from 1 to 3 days at a stretch. Relatively drier in February till early March. Also generally windy with wind speeds sometimes reaching 30 to 40 km/h in the months of January and February. During the Southeast Monsoon season, southeast/southwest winds prevail. Isolated to scattered showers occur in the late morning and early afternoon. Early morning "Sumatra" squall lines are common.
