I was really looking forward to this hotel but I am not sure if I would stay here again. The room was rather small - we had to keep maneuvering around our suitcases. The breakfast menu varied little over our stay and became a little monotonous. The hotel had an outdoor spa which was pleasant. The best thing about the hotel was the location - close to transport, restaurants, shops, etc.
Excellent location.
A nice clean hotel with some really great views across Singapore especially from the 70th floor bar and with some 16 restuarants there is never a real problem as to what to eat
This Hotel along with Raffles Hotel, and the Plaza Hotel all are within a block of one another and are owned by the Fairmont Raffles Hotel Int Group.
The management of these hotels was handed over to the Swissôtel chain in 2001
This very tall hotel (almost 250m high) is located in the centre of Singapore and the complex which comproises of the two hotels, shopping and offices together with the Raffles city convention centre is built directly above the City Hall Subway Station. It is very inexpensive to travel on the Mass Rail Transit system from Changi airport MRT station direct to the City Hall station, under the hotel, for less than $2 but it will take around 40 min and entail a transfer at (EWL) Tanah Merah MRT Station
At US$400 + this not a cheap hotel, but worth maybe one night, just to see the place and to walk across the street to visit the historic Raffles Hotel for a drink in the bar or to have a snack in thier very restful gardens. You do have to be well healed to stay at Raffles with prices starting at around US$600 a night !

located along Bras Basah Road right beside the Raffles Hotel, this classy hotel has just undergone renovation and has great rooms with all the amenities. But what is great is its location. Right beside the City Hall and the Bras Basah MRT stations, you can easily get around because of its great location.
Changi Village Hotel is only a 15 minute drive from the airport, we stayed in an Executive Club Room and paid $280 Singapore which at the time was $212 Australian poer night. This was an internet special on their own website.
This price included free breakfast, free snacks & drinks for 2 hours in the Executive Club Lounge and free internet. We had snacks for dinner in the lounge & drank approximately $100 of beer & bacardi (5 beers & 4 bacardis) (alcohol is pricy here)
So all up it is well worth the price!!!
There is also a free minubus at the airport for transfers to & from the hotel on the hour. The area around the hotel is also excellent with at least 50 restaurants within a few minutes walk and there is also a 7/11 in the hotel. The room has everything you would need including a good comfortable bed.
We would stay here again.

Marriott's undergoing some renovations. This is common in Singapore. How the place stays new and on top of the latest technologies & fashions.
Central location to all the action:
> Shopping on Orchard Ave / Blvd
> Superb Public Transportation (both Subway & Bus)
Nice decor.
Open space.
Cool rooms.
Great bar.
Awesome seamstress to make custom cloths.

clean,free wifi, helpful staff,good location
Absolutely incredible stay, super luxurious & the best there is!

Amigos is great for a hostel and backpackers who just need a bed to sleep.
The wifi is good and they have a small library at second floor. I stayed in a mixed room with all other guys but It was ok. Amigos is a place which is easy to make friends. They do clean the bathroom everyday and has air-condition in your room. A simple breakfast - bread and some jam. Just 5 walking mins from MRT or 1 mins to bus-stop where you can reach to the rest of Singapore.
A dorm cost me about 19bucks It's the best bed I have ever slept. No bugs bite and clean duvet :)
Recommend? Why not :)
Noone knows they have a great view at the top where you can look out a large grass field (seldom to find in a city).?? I just wondered it because there were many hostelers here but everytime i went to the top, it was only me. Lucky indeed ^^
I came up here one night and amazed with star sky so just lay down and felt the wind as if i was lying on the beach. And mornings, it's the first place to greet the first sunshine as well.
