Welcome Inn Backpacker Hostel

I have not stayed at this hostel, but investigated it for a friend. I would appreciate your comments if you have stayed there.

On the outside it looks like a lovely place. It is new and only opened in 2008. The biggest drawback is that there is a Karoeke bar right next door (it shares a wall with the hostel), so if you don't have ear plugs this is not the place for you.

They have dorms and private rooms. It looks nice enough, but seems expensive in comparison. It is close to Lavender MRT (direct from Changi Airport) and Farrer Park MRT.
The cost of a double room was S$78 PER PERSON. This is more than double what the other hostels cost (or maybe the desk staff were trying to pull a fast one on me). The excuse was that the price included breakfast. I don't know, but you can get a pretty decent breakfast for S$10 and not S$78.

There are tourist services at the front desk, including a shuttle service. It costs S$38 for 1 - 4 people to go to the airport. A taxi holding 4 people will cost you max S$22. Be careful.
