Budget Hotel near Airport
The hotel is around 15 minutes away from the airport. You'll pay from S$12-15 for taxi fare depending on the tariff during the day. The room they first provided was very small, around 8 sqm including the bathroom and had no window. Upon checking in, there were small cockroaches in the bathroom. The carpet had a wet portion and some black marks showed. When i first took a bath, the shower malfunctioned and a screw fell off. In addition, the shower curtain was insufficient so water was scattered all over the bathroom. The water drain stuck up a bit and the towels were worn out. We had a hard time sleeping because the aircon was strong and with no thermostat. We paid in advance for three nights plus a S$15 deposit was required in case we made some phone calls. Definitely not for people bringing children because there were a number of men checking into the hotel with female escorts. In fact, there was a night club at the ground floor of the hotel. When we came back (from Phuket) for an overnight before we flew back (to Manila), they gave us a newer, larger, and cleaner room. We paid on the average S$70 per night.
