The City Bayview Hotel is strategically located at the crossroads of the main shopping belts such as Bugis, Orchard Road, Marina Square, Raffles City Tower, Suntec City & Convention Centre, Singapore Management University, Nangyang Academy of Fine Arts and business district.
It is just a stone's throw away from the Bugis MRT and bus station, Little India and National Museum.
Stayed here with my 2 teenage daughters. Good location, walking distance to MRT 10 mins, longer walk to the main shopping areas of Orchard Rd 15 mins. Reasonable breakfast, clean spotless good sized rooms. Staff friendly and very helpfull. We arrived at 4 am and our booking was ready, they don't have connecting rooms but we got rooms next to each other. Pool is fantastic, very welcome on the usual steamy Singapore days. 2 24 hour food courts right next door. I would certainly stay here here again and would gladly recommend this hotel. I thought it was excellent value for money in Singapore.
It was a package trip that me and my husband got so I didnt expect much of the hotel. Surprisingly, its a good hotel. Clean. They have a small gym that my husband likes a lot eventhough it only has 2 equipments (it can actually fit just 2 equipments), a treadmill and something a Not gym buff like me wouldn't know. Across the mini gym is a mini lap pool. They have free WiFi. I brought my laptop and stupid me forgot to bring an adaptor. The electrical outlet has 3 prongs and my 2 prongs just wont fit. I went to the lobby and ask if I could rent one and they actually just let me borrow. Sweet. The bad thing was there wasn't that much choice for breakfast, unless you want cereal overload.
Centrally located. Compact but clean rooms with room safe and free coffee. Excellent bathrooms. Friendly staff. Free internet. Best thing is the location - walk to Bugis, Raffles area and even orchard road. Next door to 24 hour hawker centre (good meal for under S$5) and 7-11 store.
Small roof top pool with city views. laundry facilities too.
This 3 star hotel is in the biz and hotel area. Its nothing special about this hotel but I was satisfied.
Positives: - What I liked most about the hotel was the bed and the pillows. They were pretty comfy. - There are 7/11 and a food center " Kobitiam" right next door. So if you get hungry in the middle of the night, its easy. - You can walk to Orchard Rd. and Little India about 15 mins walk each.
Negatives: - Their breakfast was rather boring. The same things for the whole week! I think its fine if you only stay there for a few days. - The room cleaning service wasnt terribly impressive. - The pool is closed at 7pm. Too early for people who're on a biz trip!
