Changi Village accommodations

This hotel is no longer the Le Meridien but is now simply the Changi Village hotel. It's billed as by the airport but in fact it's almost as long and as expensive of a cab ride as a CBD hotel. Despite this and being a little out of the way, this is a nice business class hotel close to the Changi Village beach.

City escape

I find the Le Meriden a relaxing place, close by the airport a good place if you have been to singapore before and if you want to see a different side of singapore

The hotel itself has the normal amenities you would expect, Pool, resturants good comforable rooms, good service

Unique Quality: Its position in Changi

Easy does it! (sarcastic)

I stayed here for one night on my way back to Aus once. It was a pleasent enough stay, service was reasonably good. Nothing essentially to complain about - it is quite a normal hotel for Singapore.

However, the bathrooms are a little dated in terms of fittings and the it did take three goes to get fresh milk in my mornig coffe at breakfast as the is kept curdling.

Unique Quality: The food is quite good at the buffet - it certainly ain't worth ordering from the menu.

There is a pool on a higher level.

The hotel looks over the Changi Country and Golf Club offering pretty good views instead of suburban bussle.

Changi

by Pneuma about Changi village hotel

Our flight was delayed so we were given a sleepover in this hotel. It is close to the airport. But I personally found it to be in the middle of nowhere. Also, the rooms had no life. They had such an industrial look to it.If I had my way I would never stay there. We were told by the airline staff that it had a good night life.Which meant they had a bar with a live singer not even a band.Huh!Rooms were new but weird.Lifeless!...

minimalist-chic Hotel

by BeeTea about Le Meridien Changi Village

When I was there it's newly renovated. With sophisticated and minimalist interior style.
If you need an accomodation while you're attending an exhibition in Singapore Expo, this place is suitable, but it's quite far from city centre. There's an outdoor pool on the upper floor and rooms with sea view.

Singapore Stopover Hotel

by sarahreynold about Le Meridien Changi Hotel

For a short stopover in Singapore Le meridien offers a free shuttle between Changi Airport terminals and the hotel. Accommodation is reasonable if it's just a short stop over you have. Free shuttle from Singapore Airport to the hotel. Rooftop pool.

Changi Village

by traveldream about Le Meridien Changi Village

The location is not far from Changi International Airport and far from an MRT (train) station. To go downtown you can walk for a couple of minutes and catch a bus (#86 if I'm not mistaken) and get off at Pasir Ris where there is an MRT station, or just take a taxi from outside the hotel lobby.

Within a walking distance nearby, there is a building with restaurants that serve various types of food - Malay, Indian, Chinese, etc. My shower room has a big glass window at the wall beside the bathtub that sees to the bedroom.

Quiet, excellent hotel

by TripAdvisor Member bligh

My husband and I stayed at the Changi Village Hotel one night outward to India and upon our return for one night. Both times we were greeted by the friendly welcoming staff who made us feel very much 'at home'. Even to the point that on our return to the hotel three weeks after the first visit one of the staff at the door said ""welcome back"!!

The hotel is in a pleasant and very quiet location and we appreciated the courtesy bus to and fro the airport plus the courtesy bus to Orchard Road for shopping. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. All in all a very happy stay and we shall certainly return.

A far away place

by TripAdvisor Member Kirpan

Changi Village Hotel is not - as one might expect - near to Changi Airport.
It is about as far as most hotels elsewhere in the city of Singapore itself. Nor is there anything of interest in Changi Village itself. It is in the middle of nowhere and a trip into town is expensive.
Once a day there is a free shuttle bus however.
The hotel is not cheap for the individual traveller. There can be busloads of group travellers at heavily discounted prices.

The restaurants are simple although there are a few standard dishes that they can prepare well. They cannot compete with regular restaurants in town. The buffets could be a lot better and the breakfast buffet is just below average.
The hotel gives a dated impression and management seems to cut corners. It is clean however and the staff is friendly.
