Better of two Hilton Offerings

As we arrived I took in the lobby before making my way to the check in desk.

Upon reaching the desk I was informed I was to check in upstairs at the lounge on 33. So as we were shown a table and offered a drink my information was taken and we were checked in while we enjoyed some champagne and a snack.

Next we were shown to our room. 1901. The suite upgrade was not a surprise since I had a paid rate for the Executive Premier room. However this particular suite was not going to work. The configuration was wrong and I asked for another. Finally we were put in 1301, which sadly was on a smoking floor but the room did not smell of it.

As you walk into the room it expands in a clockwise circle. Through the doorway the wall holds the left wall straight out. Along this wall you will find a desk and work area with the phone and internet cables as well as an office chair. Across you will find the couch and a chair along with a coffee table in front facing you and the tv on the near wall.

Following right through the door you come into the bedroom. Small table and chair in front of you with the king bed to your right. Large bay windows giving you a view of the fountain and the city. Beyond the bed on the right wall is the tv and closets which continue to the bathroom door.

The bathroom opens up further to the right again. On your right is the counter top and double sinks. The bathtub is in front of you with a standalone shower at its right end. Separate toilet behind the door again to your right.

Conrad: 5-stars hotel....without a jacuzzi

This is a 5-stars hotel, belonging to the Hilton Group. Located at Marina Bay, this hotel is just a stone throw away from the Central Business District and the main shopping hubs of Raffles City/Suntec City. Service is warm and professional, befitting a 5-stars hotel and the room is very spacious and comfortable. Each guest receives a free "Conrad" teddy bear as a souvenir. The only complain is that for a 5-stars hotel, it does not have a jacuzzi in its gym/health centre.

Unique Quality: Depending on the location of your room, you may get a great view of the downtown of Singapore.

Model Hotel

The service provide by this hotel begins from the moment you enter the entrance of the hotel. The doorman will open the door for you and greet you..The front desk staffs are also very pleasant and provide quality service. It depends, but sometimes a staff will walk you to your room.

The room is bright and pretty spacious, about 40 sq m...Also there is welcome amentity; a small basket full of fruits.

Room service at 11 plus at night was pretty fast for orders like steaks & Japanese food.

Unique Quality: Our room was facing the Fountain of Wealth and at night, there is laser display show, splendid!

Most rooms have a great view of the Singapore skyline and the sea I think. And if I'm not wrong...this is the hotel that provides you with a rubber duckie for your bath. Talk about good customer service.

The One in the Middle of the Photo

by ZENDER about Conrad Centennial Singapore

I had stayed in this hotel more than thrice already at different times and dined at the hotel countless times. Never failed to be impressed by the service the hotel staff had rendered to me.
Why I like this hotel so much? Hmm, largely due to personal preferences of the bed in the room. High enough for me to clamber onto it, reasonably comfortable enough for me to bounce on it and to lay my head to rest for the night.
Yeah, anyway I do like this hotel. I will be back for more! Well, for me, architecturally speaking, this hotel though the smallest in terms of overall size of all the Marina Bay hotels in my photo, it is still unique in the sense that from afar, one can see the outline of the number, 13 embedded in the hotel's external claddings.
That to me is fascinating as it speaks of the Eastern-Western influences of mixing feng shui and architectural design to create a unique building.

Crown Jewel of Asia

by TripAdvisor Member abatlin

Our stay at the Conrad surpassed perfection. Our every need was met and then some. The rooms are beautifully appointed with a bath as large as most hotel rooms. Loved the extra touch of rubber duckies by the bathtub and teddy bears to sleep with. The bed is absolutely heavenly to sleep in. Hospitality of staff was absolutely amazing. We mentioned it was our anniversary and were greeted in our room with an beautiful flower arrangement complements of the hotel. Concierge staff was very helpful. The executive lounge was amazing offering a huge spread for breakfast. We wanted for nothing. When it was time to check out, we had a very difficult time saying goodbye to our new found friends. If the Conrad Singapore is the crown jewel of Asia, Irene Ang is the center stone seeing to all to make the Conrad Singapore a wonder home away from home.

Where is the Best View?

by Eurasian68

Hi All,

been wondering where would we have the BEST VIEW of the National Day Celebrations on 9th August? From which hotel is the BEST VIEW of the fireworks from the National Stadium?

The Stamford
Conrad Centennial Singapore
Marina Mandarin Singapore
Oriental Singapore
Pan Pacific Hotel
Ritz-Carlton Millenia

any comments on the above? or any other suggestions?

thank you:-)

RE: Where is the Best View?

by DarkRay

If I remember correctly, Swissotel the Stamford will give you the best view from a high floor room followed probably by another high floor room from Conrad and then Ritz-Carlton Millenia. Marina Mandarin and Pan Pacific's rooms faces the wrong direction.

Hope this helps.... :-),

IMHO, the kallang view room at the ritz.
Faces Kallang river and it's a tad cheaper thean the marina view room.
LOL, the sexy toilet also faces the river. See if you can find the national day promo package. They usually have it.
