The Hotel was clean and was good for a comfortable night sleep. It is some distance from the city but there is a MRT (train) station within 10 minute walking distance. The MRT rivals the tube in London for its efficiency and is much cleaner and one can get to any destination in Singapore. The average fair is $1 USD. I traveled almost exclusively on the MRT and have no complaints. The area is filled with great local restaurants where you could eat all kinds of original Singapore cooking. The hotel was very cheap, about $25 USD per night.

The hotel however is in the red-light district. It is very obvious from all the girls around. But the area is still safe. I could wander about the area at 12 am without being troubled nor did I ever feel like I was in any kind of danger. Do not expect any amenities as it is a very much just a room and board type hotel. People however were friendly and kept out of your way.

The hotel in my opinion is great for a young budget-minded individual or a couple who don't mind walking and experiencing some of the less glamorous aspects of travel. For people who can't walk as much or for families this hotel is not the best of choices. But for $25 USD it was definitely worth it for me.
