SINGAPORE'S WORST CHALET (THEFT & POOR SERVICE)

We booked 3 nights stay for my sister & her family who had just arrived in Singapore from the UK thinking that the kids could play at the beach.

Think Singapore is a safe country? Think again. I would have to say that Singapore is largely safe and probably crimefree most of the time. HOWEVER, SHOCK SHOCK HORROR HORROR... THEFT IN GOLDKIST BEACH RESORT FROM THE ROOM'S VERY OWN SAFE BOX!

The management took hours to tell me to make a police report and then LIED to us that the police told them not to give us any form of compensation or response until the case was closed. Moving on...

Let's put the theft aside and assume that it was hard luck but RATS IN THE LOBBY? STAINS ON THE BEDSPREADS, RAT DROPPINGS, COCKROACHES, COBWEBS, BROKEN CROCKERY, I CAN GO ON AND ON. When we approached the management, he said it was common as it was the public area and that higher authorities knows of the situation.

Apparently it is a family run business and the management kept pushing the blame to each other without giving us any acceptable response. I was even accused of being a dog for "pouncing" on the manager who is at least 1.5heads taller than me and probably more than twice my age... wow.... the power of being a 23 year old lady. All this due to me asking for the higher authorities' names and contact numbers.

In addition, the manager insisted that I hand over my camera as I was taking videos of his response to us or he'll call the police. He said there were 'no videography/photography' signs around the resort. Standing my ground, I said call the police... in the end their own security guard came to me and got my particulars and said they'll call me back... RIGHT...

SO JUST A REMINDER... IF YOU WANT POOR SERVICE, MONEY STOLEN FROM THE SAFE AND BAD ATTITUDE... GO TO GOLDKIST BEACH RESORT.
