 | Singapore Grand Hyatt Singapore Reviews | 1 - 5 of 5 | | If you can afford it, I would highly recommend this hotel. This is one of my favourite hotels - My hubby and I held our wedding dinner at their ballroom and the Grand Duplex Suite was thrown in as part of the package. Needless to say, since they're 5 star, the Grand Hyatt Singapore is up there with your Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton in every way. Everything about this hotel is modern and chic. With great service, excellent food and rooms fit for the fashionistas, this is the perfect hotel. I was 'blown away' when I stayed here (then again, you must know that I spent heaps, and of course expected what I paid for). It's located right in the heart of Orchard Road, where all the shopping and buzz is. Note: As with most cities, you'll probably never go wrong with the 5 star hotels. But other than the Grand Hyatt, which I absolutely adore, the rest of the hotels I plan to recommend are the hip and more affordable ones.
The hotel was renovated beginning of 2005, to update all its amenities and it was given a swanky new outlook. Everything themed to black and glass and revolves around a modern chic look. And yet, the pool is amazing - tucked amidst a gorgeous landscape. If you sit by the pool, you won't believe you're in the heart of the city. The gym, also called Club Oasis has an extensive range of fitness equipment every modern gym should offer. The Mezza9 - an upmarket classy - restaurant offers one of the city's best (Not cheap though). My favourite's the Mezza9 Bar - my recommendation: try the Chocolate Bunny (a heavenly concoction of Bailey, Kailua, Creme de Cocoa & milk). The other popular eating haunt at the Grand Hyatt - among locals who don't mind paying - is the Straits Kitchen, offering up the best of Singapore cuisine (buffet) at a very reasonable price in the perfect modern chic setting (SIN$38). A wonderful hotel, to be recommended for everyone. It's not really a cheap place, specially what they asked for tiny things like the content of the Minibar oder for the Breakfast Buffet is "heavy" but still worth it. The service is fantastic, a really 5 Star. The hotel is situated just near the well-known Orchard Roade and also the MRT (Tube) is nearby. The important thing is - that you'd ask for a room a) in the new wing and b) if you got a room in the new wing, starting with number x20, means 520, 630 or similar. The other rooms are indeed very noisy (due to the aircon machine which is outside of the hotel). I requested another room, and this one is fantastic.
The view isn't so great (I mean, this is a big city so the only things to see are other big buildings). Oh by-the-way, the broadband in the rooms is working perfectly. Roomservice is great (check out the nasi goreng). Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: US$180 and up » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than average

I have stayed at the Grand Hyatt Singapore many times and can say that this hotel has probably gone through more changes than any other hotels I've stayed in. First it was the major lobby renovation, then again another extensive renovation to all aspects of the hotel, followed by the name change to Grand Hyatt after 27 years of operations as Hyatt Regency, and finally a new interior/concept change. Phew. The hotel itself is Grand indeed. The lobby (which now adopts minimalist/modern interior) is designed by a Feng Shui specialist for the with-being of staff, guests, and the hotel. The hotel has two main towers: the Grand Wing and the Terrace Wing. I've stayed in both. The Grand Wing's rooms are smaller compared to the Terrace Wing's, but they were recently refurbished and now sporting the new modern/minimalist look. Hyatt's hotel-within-a-hotel concept, the Grand Club, is also located in the Grand Wing. The Terrace Wing on the other hand, has a more resort feel to it. Many of the rooms overlook a 4-storey waterfall, a lush tropical garden with koi ponds, or a tropical style swimming pool. The rooms are some of the biggest in Singapore. The hotel also has a great choice of food outlets, six to be exact. The Cafe offers great breakfast and Pete's Place serves up great pizza and offers a good deal on lunch buffet. The hotel is located right on Singapore's shopping belt and flanked by two major shopping centers and not far from business districts as well and a mere 5-minute walk to Orchard Rd MRT station via a sheltered underpass. The hotel's staff is professional, friendly, and is truly eager to meet all your needs. I will continue to stay at Grand Hyatt Singapore for many years to come. If not for the great service then to see what changes they have in store.

Its beside Tangs Orchard which is the start of Orchard Road. The rooms in this hotel is beyond luxury. I took the Club King room at the Terrace Wing, which was SGD$310 per night (Corporate Rate) which works to about USD$205 per night and quite big. Not much of a view outside as there is another building being built alongside. The photos of the rooms shows luxury. The room is beyond my expectations and since I was in the Club King, the Grand Club Lounge was at my disposal. Really Grand Hyatt. The grand Wing must be better than what I got. Its conveniently located which I was able to get around by MRT (a station nearby) and to get to enjoy its strategic location.
Why stay here? Well Its an experience. And it is a stones throw away from Tangs, the start of Orchard road. The hotel houses a nice Asian Restaurant which offers a variety of Asian cuisine (its a buffet ) of, amongst others, Chinese, Malay, Indian, Continental, Japanese and Italian. There is also a top end Japanese restaurant too. Great rooms and a great bar downstairs. I was at the BRIX which is touted as the hottest nightspots in town with live music performing to Hip Hop and a bit of Soul. The crowd is quite hip too. **Appreciate your Rating** Leave a Comment
