Harbour Ville Hotel: booked online for 2 nights, but won't return

We needed an economical hotel for 2 nights after flying across the Pacific and before taking the train north up through Malaysia. Cost seemed low for Singapore. Facilities were adequate but nothing exceptional or special. No WiFi here. Use-for-fee computers were in small room on lower floor. Rentable modem that supposedly could be plugged in room never worked and had to be returned. Front desk staff not particularly helpful.
Directions: Taxi from airport was able to find it. Not much close except a bus stop. Needed bus to get in to the city and a taxi to get to train station.
