Adventurous But Not Bad
by theguy about Hotel 81 Gold
Located at Geylang, Singapore's red-light district. Not too far away from the center and still safe. Great, clean rooms, brand-new furnishing. Try to bargain. Good value for money.
I was staying there on Valentine's Day, when the hotel crowded up with teenage couples staying to do what they probably aren't allowed to do at home... (play cards?). ;) You might want to let the receptionists know that being a single male guest doesn't necessarily mean you are looking for commercial sex, that you can live without those drunk prostitutes banging against your door at 3am in the morning, and that if you change your mind about that, you will give a call from the hotel phone, so there's no need for those hourly calls by ladies offering some unspecified kind of "massage" either !
And hey, dear hotel staff, don't take my entire stock of underpanties out of my room again, saying you mistakenly took them with the sheets for washing ! It's not funny, because I was looking for my undies really hard, you know?! ;)
18 Lor Geylang
by Ewingjr98
We made the mistake of asking the cab driver where we could find women. Maybe it was lost in translation, but he took us to 18 Lor Geylang -- Singapore's Red-Light District. With the quick warning, "Watch out for Ladyboys!" we were on our own...
After about 3 minutes of avoiding large, nasty rats and being propositioned by Ladyboys, we jumped in another cab and (luckily) found our way back to safer ground...

Yet another low-cost, Geylang hotel. I haven't stayed there but it looked interesting and might be of use to someone, sometime in the future. The location could mean it is noisy though.
Hotel 22 - budget accommodation in Geylang
by phil_uk_net about Hotel 22
Very basic but cheap place in Geylang. The small rooms have aircon and a bathroom with hot water shower.
The Lorong the hotel is situated on is fairly quiet and within walking distance of Aljunied MRT station.
If you are considering staying at a hotel in the Geylang area and have not stayed there before I suggest you take a look at my 'Geylang - Must See Activity' elsewhere on this page. Cheap for Singapore. Rooms are 40 SD.

Hi!
I hope I am reading your query properly.
From Changi Airport, you can take the subway (MRT) from Terminal 2 to either one of the following 2 stations that are nearest to Geylang (please note that Geylang is a sizable area): Kallang or Aljunied. Kallang is nearer to the smaller numbered Lorong (or alleys) while Aljunied is nearer to the bigger numbered Lorongs.
From Geylang, please make your way to Beach Road in Singapore. Golden Mile Complex along Beach Road has a lot of agencies selling coach tickets up to KL. You may choose from a variety of brands and luxury classes.
Coach journey takes about 5-6 hours and coaches depart as various times of the day.
An alternative is to take the train as earlier advised.
Another is to go back to Changi Airport and fly to KL.
