Coffee: Singapore Style

Coffee: Singapore Style
We recently had visited Singapore and found a new way drinking coffee. Basically this is filtered coffee. The way they make it, put a tsp of sugar and then one tbl of condensed milk and top it up with filtered coffee. They serve it in a glass mug. It is cost you 90 cents in Geylang Area. Almost any corner food halls will serve you this coffee. Please do try. It's better to try it in the late evening as the city cools down a bit by then. Even deep in the end of December we found Singapore very hot and humid.
Food wise, we love ethnic food however unfortunately I have to say that food in Singapore was a bit of touch and go. Sometime we had tasty food and then there are other times.
SG European Architecture
by pres_16
Roaming around SG streets lets you see many of these buildings with extravagant ornamentation and elements of European architectural styles and features. But more to these beautifully designed buildings, another thing that catches my attention is the style of the windows. If I were to build my own house, I would like my windows to be like this.
Umbrella Usage
by phil_uk_net
Is it raining? No. Many Asians consider light skin good and dark skin bad. Because of this they shy away from the sun and there is a big market in skin whitening products. Umbrellas seem to be used more when it isn't raining as parasols. My brother bought an umbrella and they were cheaper when it was raining. I'm sure it would be the other way round anywhere else in the world but the Singaporeans are a strange bunch. I was talking to a taxi driver one time during the rain and mentioned that the rain must be good for business but he said no. My assumption was that more people get taxis when it is raining but when there is rain the Singaporeans don't go out.
As clean as it gets

To say Singapore is clean is a minor statement. It is almost sterile :) When reading all the fines for different offences, please take them seriously, not just because of the fines, but to help keep the city clean.
I have never in any of the cities I have visited so fas, seen so many cleaners maintaing the streets, litters, undergrounds ... so clean as in Singapore. They deserve a 5 out of 5 stars.

Spare space in your bag for all that shopping! Be it the fantastic Silk, or herbal medicines or electrical goods that you can buy here in Singapore at bargain prices...compared to where I live anyways!* It was very hot and humid during my visit in November, however it did also rain, so light clothing, but an umberella would help too!* You can buy everything here in Singapore* *Tons, I diddnt take enough film or anything, you can buy it here, you will need loads there is so much to see!* Guidebooks - I used various books for my stay here, the best one was this one that I actually picked up in Singapore produced by the Tourism Authority.*
