by victorwkf about Hotel 81 Chinatown
This is one of the best budget hotel in Singapore in terms of its very good location in the heart of Singapore's Chinaotown area with lots of shopping, food, money changer, next to the MRT sub-way station, many attractions nearby. The hotel is also newly constructed and the price is reasonable.

Actually, I did not stay in any Hotel or Inn before. But from what i have heard and seen so far, hotels in Singapore are up to a minimum standard. Those prominent hotels could be found in singapore, say, Shangri-La, Raffles Hotel, Hyatt, ......if one go for comfortable and luxury, you will not have any problems for getting it with the exchange of $, there are all in town area, which very near to all the shopping area.
For Inn, one may try Hotel 81 or YMCA hostel? For those just want a place to sleep, these budget place should be gd enough, the environment also nice.
cheap stays
by ratinacage about budget hotels
reading thru the rest of the hotel recommendations, you would think its impossible to get a nights stay for less than USD80!!!!
truth is, you can, if you are not too fussy about services and location.fact is, Singapore is so small you should really not let the locations stop you from staying away from town.one of singapore to another takes less than an hour in slow moving traffice, and slightly more on the MRT.
quite a number of cheap hotels have sprung up in Singapore these recent years. the most noticable would be Hotel 81. it has many many branches over most parts of Singapore, prices differ from location to location.so you can choose one that fits your budget.
but do not expect pool, kitchen and room services...
there are many more like it,you just have to find out more b4 u make your bookings.

Hi,
I don't think there is a Mustafa Hotel. You can try one of these chains:
Hotel 81: http://www.hotel81.com.sg/hotels_dickson.shtml [this is near Little India]
Fragrance Hotel: http://www.fragrancehotel.com/fragrance06/main.asp?action=hotel&opt=selegie

Cheap places to stay in Singapore
by deiseboy
Hi guys I will be arriving in Singapore on Friday and I was wondering if you could recommend a cheap place to stay. We were (2) paying 500 baht per night in Thailand for decent places so we would be looking for something similar.
Thanks,

well you wont get the same decent spot for 11usd(roughly 500 baht) in S'pore. But you can stay for fairly cheaply in Singapore. If you arrive by air, the Singapore hotel assoc. has a desk open 24 hours I believe at the airport. The cheapest rates are bout 20-25 a night from them. Hotel 81 and such.
Hotel 81 is sorta a hmmm meeting spot it seemed for encounters though. The rooms are clean, has tv/showers however.

I would definitely say that Hotel 81 is the place to stay. It costs $40 per night per room.
It may be one place where sexual encounters occur, but there are plenty of other people who stay there.
There are individual baths and showers so that's good. Also, reservations are not necessary because they will definitely have rooms. And there are a few branches all around the Eastern area. My recommendation is the Joo Chiat branch.

Thanks guys for all your help. We ended up staying in Hotel 81 in Geylang 16.
I see what you mean by sexual encounters.
