5 Star Customer Service

Whilst stopping off at The Oriental - Singapore on honeymoon my wife was unfortunatley taken seriously ill and admitted to Hospital.

The employees and management of this hotel went far beyond the call of duty in supporting and assisting me in this very difficult time during her recovery.

Apart from being at home I could not have been in a better place.

If you are looking for special customer care in a beautiful, spotless hotel, and a breakfast selection that I challenge anyone not to find tempting I'd stay here!!

Unique Quality: Best Hotel staff in the world

Very Fancy Hotel in Singapore

This hotel is very elegant, since you get there you feel very comfortable, a fountain wellcomes you in the lobby and you can see colorful flowers everywhere, the staff is very kind with you.
We took the club room, it is a little more expensive rate but you can take breakfast in the club floor and you can have an afternoon tea in the same room.
The rooms were great, decorated with very good taste and luxury!!! I can't forget the softness of that bed, the bathroom made in marble... Everything was great!! Very nice for honeymoon.

Unique Quality: The Oriental has a very good view from the upper rooms. This hotel is next to the Marina Square Mall, a very good option for shopping, after that you can plunge in the nice pool. You should try the SPA too, and don't forget to eat a delicious dinner in one of the restaurants.

A great location, opposite Marina Bay

We had a fabulous stay here. The staff were just so friendly and they could not do enough for you. Warren and I arrived very early (6.30am) at the airport and were taken to the Hotel. Even though we were not supposed to book in until mid-afternoon, the consierge had our room organised, while he took us upstairs to the dining room and we had a most sumptuous breakfast.

Unique Quality: Very well appointed hotel. Great view from the hotel to the Marina Bay.

Singapore Hotel

Excellent hotel with superb service. Walking distance or short cab ride (depending upon the weather) to most restaurants and Raffles.

The picture is from my room - believe it or not.

Oh, This is soooo sweet!!!

Walked in and we all said, "Oh, this is soooo sweet." We have stayed in some nice places in out time and this was up with the best. The foyer was spacious and the air con was on (the best part). The 6 glass lifts in the middle of building sink into a small fountain sort of thing. The room was nice, not as good as I have been in but was clean and spacious (nice big bathroom). I went to Singapore for Hayden and April Au's wedding in this hotel and would recommend it to all. PS The wedding was awesome (thanks guys)

Unique Quality: The Pool was 25 metres and outdoors. It was a very simple square pool that got deep extremely quick. The service around the pool was nice and friendly. Also the pool deck had a great view of Singapore.

The pool was next to the small but adequate gym.

I really loved the hotels Sports Bar which was showing my San Antonio Spurs against the LA Lakers in the finals. Unfortunately we lost, but it was nice to watch the game there with a drink.

Best part of the hotel was the tall, lanky doorman. His smile was always present and made our day opening the door to the cool Air conditioned hotel. Give the man a raise!!!

The Oriental Experience

Good location.....superb view of the waterfront harbour and within walking distance to major shopping malls, entertainment complexes, and food centers.

Luxury Hotel at Marina Square

by victorwkf about The Oriental Singapore

Recently, I had a one night stay at the Oriental Singapore and it was a very good experience. As expected, the hotel is extremely comfortable and luxurous. Its location at Marina Square near to shopping centres, Suntec City Convention Hall, the Esplanade and city area makes it very convenient. Furthermore, it has a very good swimming pool with beautiful views of the Singapore skyline. The food at the restaurants were also food, especially the Chinese restaurant and Cafe Artiste (buffet).

For The Rich & Famous

by RoyJava about The Mandarine Oriental Hotel - Singapore

This Mandarine Oriental hotel is incredible! Just the reception salon already is a dream. The floors describe a gradual pyramide, a huge atrium. You do feel like an important guest every day, enjoying its subtle splendour in the beautiful rooms, and spectacular harbour views (The Captain's Bar).

All at this Oriental place is unique, and radiates personality. Cafe des Artistes is great, and the American Steakhouse, too. There is Spa, Fitness, Swimming-pool, laundry, shops, sport activites ...

More Oriental Info Well,... I got spoiled every day, even I had to work for Harper's Bazar magazine. Sometimes I felt a bit ashamed with this kind of luxury. It seemed so unreal, but the Buddha said: "Feeling shame when there is no need to, not feeling shame when one should ...". And the Buddha continued: "Wherever is existence, there is change...".

hotel in marina bay area

by 1Karan

I will be in Singapore from 3-6 April for an exhibition at Suntec. I am booked at the Pan Pacific Hotel on the 4th and 5th but couldnt get a room for the 3rd. I should probably try to find a hotel nearby so that I dont waste too much time moving.....any suggestions?
Thx

There are plenty of hotels in the area - Conrad International, Marina Mandarin, Oriental Singapore, Swisotel, Park View, etc. Check out the following map.

Conrad Hotel, Marina Mandarin and Mandarin Oriental are all next to both Pan Pac and Suntec City. Take less than 5 min by foot.

Ritz Carlton Millenia is the best one in the area.

Marina Mandarin (http://www.marina-mandarin.com.sg) and Mandarin Oriental (http://www.mandarinoriental.com/singapore/) are all located very near Pan Pacific Hotel and they all surround Marina Square Mall. Just about the same distance away is Conrad Centennial (http://singapore.conradmeetings.com), followed by The Ritz Carlton (http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/Singapore).

Lastly, if you are still unable to get rooms, your next best choice are Fairmont (http://www.fairmont.com/singapore) and Swissotel the Stamford (http://www.singapore-stamford.swissotel.com) at Raffles City.

Just my 2 cents.... :-)
