Orachard road's orchard parade hotel
4.5 stars. The hotel is located on the most prosperous road in Singapore, Orchard road. Although the room is not big, it has all you need. The bed is nice and I slept 2 nights very well.
Unfortunately the buffet offers little choices, but they are fine and breads are recommended.
Unique Quality: It's convenient to take a walk from the hotel on Orchard road. It leads you to many shopping centres and to view the beautiful city.
Opinion of Price: about average

The Orchard Parade Hotel was excellent...conveniently located at the top of Orchard Road, it's in the middle of all the action that is Singapore...
Unique Quality: There's a nice little Irish Bar right across the street!!!

Too Many Good Choices..

There are so many good restaurants both local cuisine and international. You can pretty much get anything you want in Singapore. Shop houses have great food, the decor unassuming and therefore the meal cheap. Only alcohol sold in these places is beer. Here are just a few of some of the more upmarket restaurants I liked.

Hot Stones Restaurant (the branch at Boat Quay) had these huge dinosaur skeletons hovering over you as you ate (see picture). .
If you are a party animal,...

If you are a party animal, there are many nightlife spots available. There are a stretch of pubs at Boat Quay where you can enjoy dinner and/or drinks by the River side. If you are more into dance..then check out the stretch at Mohamed Sultan Road...clubs like Mdm Wong, Eden are smaller dance clubs...and places like Orange and Double O are bigger. My current fav for Mohd Sultan Rd is 'MDM WONG'. You will get more crowd on Fridays and Saturdays as well as Ladies nites..normally on Wednesdays.
Another happening club is Devil's Bar at Orchard Parade Hotel...Ladies nite on Wednesday as well (free flow..ladeies...;-). This club has 3 sections - Dance, Live Band and pool. But be prepared for huge crowd on ladies nite and weekends.
Of cuz there is the famous club..and nightspot of the year (for many years)...ZOUK....3 clubs there actually..ZOUK, PHUTURE and VELVET UNDERGROUND....playing different types of music.
Musty, Dusty and Loud

I'm staying at the Orchard Parade at the moment on business, and wish to God I wasn't. Why?
1. Smells of mould, damp and airfreshener 2. If someone goes to the bathroom in any room above, beside or below my room, I can here everything in horrible detail 3. Room service always seem to forget that I need cutlery 4. My room key-card has failed to work 3 times, meaning I have had to go downstairs eight floors for another one. 5. The bath has hairs in it which are not mine. How did they get there? 6. Every surface in the room is incredibly dusty.
More minor gripes:
1. The balcony has no chairs. Why not? 2. Breakfast is horrendous. I am now eating in Starbucks next door. 3. The loungers in the pool area smell of sweat.
I won't be coming back.

A fairly basic hotel but comfortable.
Our room didn't have a view which was a little disappointing and was a bit on the small side, but we were fairly high up so had no disturbance from the disco which others have experienced.
We were told that breakfast wasn't included despite this being printed on our voucher. This was an issue which has been taken up with our tour operators, but Starbucks is directly next door and that suited us.
If I went back I think I would stay the other end of town near the harbour area. However, ideally located on Orchard Road for shopping and only a short walk to the underground, though don't underestimate how long Orchard Road actually is. This hotel is situated at the one end so you may wish to stay further up.
Great find in Singapore

I stayed here for a week and would definitely stay again. I immediately liked the room (it was their superior/deluxe category, standard rooms as not as appealing) which was a good size and had a sofa, desk, big bed and plenty of storage space. But the best thing was the balcony with French doors. I had to spend quite a bit of time in the room working and it was great to sit at the desk on the high speed internet and have the doors wide open beside me – it felt like being outdoors even when I was indoors working.
The pool area of the hotel is nice but most of the sunbeds are in the shade a lot of the time so it’s maybe not ideal if you are hoping to get a suntan. It has a small but useful fitness room with five cardio machines, weights machines and small selection of free weights. Adjacent to the gym is a very useful laundry room.
I’ve been back to Singapore just recently and stay here again, it’s definitely my hotel of choice nowadays in the city.
Good hotel, Central to major shopping areas & MRT Station

we stayed here for 2 nights and had no problems with the room or the hotel itself. it was very convinient and had self serve laundry service which was great. the gym was also above average, the pool was great way to relax after a hot day of shopping.
Nightmare experience

One word to describe this hotel experience...."nightmare". From poor service to noisy hotel rooms the whole management should be changed. Also don't book a taxi using the concierge since they use the limo service even if you ask them to book a normal singapore taxi. I paid a S$25 fare for a S$10 ride due to their incompetence. Only saving grace is the location, but that does not justify staying there

I have booked a room at Orchard Parade Hotel for 3-6 September 2010. There is a sudden change to my schedule and I won't be able to stay at the hotel during this time. The hotel is located at the gateway of Orchard Road, Singapore's famed shopping and entertainment hub.
