Well I can only say this hotel is great, I stayed here five nights and I thorougly enjoyed my stay, excellent value for money.
I think it is regarded as a four star hotel, and all parts of the hotel kept a very high standard, as did the service which was flawless (however my stay was in 2001 and I have read some reviews saying the rooms are getting a bit worn by now).
The hotel and the staff did not disappoint me in any way and they really did their outmost to help me whenever I had any problems or questions.
They helped me book day excursions, deliver ferry tickets, arrange airport transfer, and much more!!
The location is excellent, next to Clarke Quay with many restaurants, shops, bars and nightclubs right on the other side of the river.
The nearest MRT station called Clarke Quay is just a short walk away.
The hotel offers two restaurants and a bar, a souvenir shop, a hair salon, business centre, laundry service, in-room movies and 24 h room service (of course).
But best of all, a 2-level fitness centre with spa and a huge swimming pool (located between those two "towers" to the right on the photo) with a waterfall and a poolside bar.
After a day of sightseeing or shopping, have a swim in the nice swimming pool, then take a break and enjoy a drink in the poolside bar overlooking the whole city centre of Singapore.
It's like a full-scale resort right in the middle of the city centre.
