Nice for Backpacker

With a little research and arrive at town, when the city is dark, we couldn’t find any single vacant room. People told us, this is a peak time in Singapore. We should book in advance. When you are lucky, you can also find appartment that is rented for the tourist.
We ended up in Waterloo Hostel. Waterloo Hostel is located in a corner street near Bugis market.

The hostel is managed by a church. Surprisingly, although it seems modest and humble, Waterloo Hostel is quite clean. The room is dormitory type.

Unique Quality: It's quite clean for backpackers hostel, and the service is average.
It's near MRT station and city town.

A Centrally-Located Hostel

A Catholic-run Hostel with breakfast included.

Unique Quality: Just about what you'd expect from a hostel. Only major down-side was that the room smelt so badly of Durian frut (read: "rotting onions"). Many hotels in Southeast Asia actually have signs "No Durians Allowed In Premises" !!

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
