The "Y" at Orchard Road
The YMCA at Orchard Road offers a range of accommodation of standard to superior rooms. There is a pool and gymn.
Location is central with newly renovated National Museum just a stone's throw and the bus and MRT station right at the door step.
Heavily booked and so make your reservations early.

Best Value Hotel
YMCA is always my choice everytime i come for shopping or sightseeing.
Great Value and and great location. They've refurbished most of their rooms and lobby area recently.
What to expect : Basic facilties, at least tea and coffee, i wouldnt say compact but reasonable size room for triple or twin then bathroom were not bad as well.
Only one thing to expect is the breakfast is very very simple. So if you're looking for great full breakfast, better eat outside.
Rate per room per night I've paid : SGD 98 for double occupancy or SGD115 for triple occupancy%c%
I recommend for : family and travellers on strict budget
Unique Quality: BEST LOCATION EVER! Just few minutes walk to Dhoby Gaut station, and Orchard Road of course. There is a pool on top of the floor even gym though i never had a time to use the facilities i still think YMCA is a great family hotel.

Great Budget Accomodations
My first night was at a Backpackers hostel called Chill'Inn, which was ok, but in an old part of the city.
I transfered the following day to the YMCA.
The cost is $25 SGD which is very decent, considering that I am in a room with only 4 beds and bathroom.
Unique Quality: Has the usual amenities that you have in any YMCA.

It's fun to stay at the YMCA. You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal, you can do whatever you feel.

You can hang out with all the boys.
