Hi, I have a 13 hour stopover in Seoul, and someone told me that there were tours that left incheon airport to go go Panmunjom. But I've been looking around, and can't find any info on this. Does anyone know of a tour like this? Thanks.

Faith, did you do this tour? I have already registered, but from what I can tell it doesn't go to Panmunjom. We are going to be doing the same thing you did with about 14 hours at the airport. While the 3rd tunnel looks interesting, I really want to go to Panmunjom. Any information you have would be helpful.

The link I posted was for the tour from the airport. I can't confirm if it goes to Panmunjom, but I don't see a reason for it not to. There are other tour companies that will take you up to Panmunjom/DMZ, but each has to have special permission that allows them to go to certain parts of the DMZ. All of them do not have the same permissions. Also, the other companies have to be met usually at one of the hotels in the city and you couldn't possibly guarantee your transportation time to meet any of those tours based on when your plane lands. When I was at Incheon International Airport in October 2007, there was some promotion on Korea tourism going-on inside the airport and you can see a lot of interesting Korean figures walking around. They are especally popular for phototaking as well as the children really loved to play with them :)
