Samsung Heavy Industries Geoje Hotel: Great Hotel Overlooking the... Shipyard
Maybe not the most romantic of names, but there was not a grease covered rivetter in site. The hotel is very slick, modern and sleek. A huge big and bright atrium is staffed by very friendly and efficient reception staff. In fact, they simply took my name and issued me with a key. In my room there was all the paperwork needed for me to sign, along with a complimentary plate of fruits.
The room was not massive, but big enough, with a nice bathroom, shower only though. The bed was big and comfy, and the view of the shipyard (one of the largest in the world) was hugely impressive.
The room has internet access - free for the first 30 minutes, 10 dollars for the next hour, 20 dollars for 24 hours.
Breakfast was a very good buffet - not huge, but more than enough for me.
The hotel is located just a little bit away from the main drag, but not so far that walking it is a problem.
It was built in the last year, mainly to accommodate visitors to the shipyard, so it is mainly business travellers who seem to stay there.
