 | Naejangsan-kungnip-kongwon Reviews | Tips 1 - 3 of 3 | |
When I was at Naejangsan National Park, I stayed at the Prince Motel located at the Naejangsan tourist village. The location of this motel is very good, just next to the bus terminal of bus number 171 from Jeongeup town as well as rows of restaurants and a 24-hour convenient store. The cost of the stay per night is about 30,000 Korean won, and add about 10,000 Korean won if you want to have 3 meals per day in the motel. The room is basic but comfortable, with air-con and floor heating system. Each room comes with its own toilet and the whole room is very clean. I would say this is value for money, the only problems are that internet booking is not available and the hotel people cannot communicate in English so you need to communicate by writing and signs (unless you can speak Korean). Please go to part 2 of this tip.

Attached are some photographs of my room at Prince Motel, as well as the local restaurant at the ground floor where I had my meals. The last photo was taken with the lady owner of Prince Motel (she is a very good cook and can do delicious local dishes - see restaurant section of this VT page). Overall, I think this motel is a good place to stay when you are at Naejangsan National Park. If you want to make a reservation, the only way is to call the telephone number below (no internet or email communicate is possible at this moment). Since the motel people can only communicate in Korean, the best way is that if you are staying in Seoul or elsewhere first, ask the hotel staff to call for you (especially during the peak seasons and weekends when there are huge crowds of visitors).

Accomodations at Naejangsan National Park by victorwkf, 4 more photos Besides Prince Motel, there are several other accomodations (e.g. motels, mountain villas) at the Naejangsan tourist village area near to the entrance of the national park. For more information, please go to the webpage below and look for all those accomodations with "Nae-Jang Dong" as part of the addresses. Important things to note are that it is best that you call the contact numbers and make a reservation first (especially during peak season). Internet reservations are unfortunately not possible at the moment. Secondly, the hotel staff can only communicate in Korean, so you need to get a local person to contact them.
