    We stayed here for only one night and loved it. Our room had robes, slippers, and internet access. Just call down to the front desk and they will switch it on for you. I believe we paid about $12 USD for 24 hours of access.

    The location is right in the city center, and it's close to some major shopping and eating places.

    There is no direct airport bus from the hotel, but just a couple of blocks away you can catch an airport bus at a different hotel for $7 USD. It leaves every 20 minutes. The front desk will direct you where to go.

    On tourist maps, the Best Western New Seoul hotel may appear as only "New Seoul." Also, taxi drivers seem to refer to this hotel as "New Seoul" as well.

    We spent $125 for one night here - way above our usual range, but we had extra to spare (see my tip about the Seoul Guest House).

  • Stayed in the New Seoul in July 2004. For $142/night I got a tiny, dark, windowless box. The bathroom was so small I couldn't get my knees between the toilet and the tub (had to sit sideways!). There was extremely loud construction going on from early in the morning throughout the day, even on Sunday. Very industrious of them, but bloody hard to get any sleep!
    The desk staff has marginal English, which wouldn't fuss me in a yogwan, but is surprising in an 'international' hotel. Really a dismal experience.

    Um. It's close to Sejong-no and City Hall, though it is tucked away down an alley (even the cab driver couldn't find it!!)

    For less than $50 more you could be staying at a nearby 4-star hotel.

    This hotel is located in Downtown Seoul and is easy enough to get to travelling by bus from the airport. Most of the staff were freindly and the rooms were good enough. The Hotel has a sauna (but it's for men only).

    This hotel has non-smoking rooms.

  • Directions: From the airport take the bus headed for the Koreana Hotel. Get off at the Koreana Hotel. Cross the big street either at a crosswalk a few blocks down or use the subway (walking). The New Seoul Hotel is located somewhat opposite the Koreana Hotel.
