Grand Hyatt Seoul

Placed on top of the hill above Itaewon, the Grand Hyatt is a first class hotel with all conveniences one could expect from the famous Hyatt chain. Catering to the business traveler and Japanese Tourists, this is not a hotel for the budget minded. JJ Mahoneys in the basement is a great bar but get ready to pay the price. Its packed on Friday and Saturdays with top class young Koreans and the slimey stock broker looking for a hooker. The Paris Grill is a great restaurant but again, way over priced for Seoul. The summer BBQ on the terrace is not a bad deal, especially with the view over the city and the Hahn River.

Directions: All the cabbies will undestand but make sure you say Grand Hyatt Hotel.

This was my home for 6 months and it was a fantastic place to call home.

You are in the lap of luxury from the moment you walk in the door and there is no need that will ever go unfulfilled here as all you have to do is ask at the desk and they will take care of it for you.

Unique Quality: Down stairs, under the hotel, is one of the best-known discos (clubs) in the entire city. It is hard to get in but if you are staying at the hotel you can always get in no matter how busy it is.

The hotel is just a 5 min. walk to Itaewon, the shopping district
