Mount Seoraksan National Park

An outing to Mount Seoraksan National Park from Seoul was indeed memorable for me.
One of the treking trails of Mount Seoraksan National Park is to the Yukdam Waterfall and Biryrong Waterfall (see photo). This is indeed a very beautiful trail to witness these 2 waterfalls. More photos and tips are at my VT Seorak-sanmaek page.

gosh, dont except people to...

gosh, dont except people to say, i'm sorry or excuse me when they bump into you. but then dont allow yourself to become like that. if you do apologize, people will think that you a bit odd but its OK, be nice even though the people there naturally arent in those situations. if you visibly are a foreigner, except to get stared at but dont take it personally.
And please respect the old people there and bow to them when acknowledging them.
Most people in Seoul do not speak English
by victorwkf
Most people in Seoul, including the taxi drivers do not know English. Therefore it is essential to point to them the location you want to go on a map. If you want to bargain, write down the amount on a piece of paper or use a calculator. For ordering food, just point to the item on the menu (hopefully there is some English or photos to assist you).
Seedier Side

Went to visit our son who is in the Army stationed at Camp Casey (north in Boson). Life outside a military base is quite interesting: many bars, drinky girls, pawn shops. We walked around during the day only.
