Every time I'm in Seoul I stay in Intercontinental Coex Seoul.
Really a great place.
Hotell staff is very attentive.
COEX mall is nearby which is very convenient.
the only BUT is a price. ~260 000 W per night.
It's more expensive than I paid in Tokyo which supposed to be the most expensive city in the world.
Unique Quality: Usualy I take the business room so I get for free:
1. Great breakfast
2. Swimming pool
3. Sauna
4. Feetnes club
5. Internet
6. Fax/Printer in the room.
7. I think there are more features, just never used them.
Great view from the window is also free. ;-)

This is an upmarket, business class hotel in the heart of Seoul. This hotel is conveniently located in the Samsung-Dong area of Seoul and is connected to the Coex Center (Convention/Exhibition), Coex Mall and is close to the Samsung-Dong subway station which will conveniently get you anywhere in town. This hotel is clean and very modern with a very attentive staff and many restaurants on site. You won't be disappointed if you're looking for a nice place to stay that is in a convenient location.

Coex Intercontinental It's a relatively new hotel. The rooms are well decorated and well equipped.
It is ideal for those who visit Seoul in connection with business because it's close to a major business district.
The hotel is a part of Seoul World Trade Center which houses also shopping and entertainment complex and the Airport City
Terminal where you can check in and load your luggages before taking a shuttle bus to the airport.

Will be in Seoul for a conference on early April 2011. Have some questions, and I hope you guys can help me out..
1. Can anyone recommend any hotels within walking distance or a few subway stations away from COEX? I'm looking at less than $100/night, more of between $60-80 price range
2. What is the best way to get to the city from ICN airport if I were to arrive past 9pm, and what about going back to the airport, what would be an easy and cheaper way of getting there, or should I just take a cab?

I think that there are many possibilities to stay in Gangnam district not far from COEX.

If you arrive at night time in the airport, you can think about to stay at Hotel near the airport for the 1st night. Many hotel near the airport has free pick-up service from Airport to Hotel. Stay 1 night near the airport and take subway or bus in the morning to go COEX could be one option. you can take a look this HotelSky Incheon Airport located airport town square.

Thanks for the advice guys... i've found a couple of hotels which seem to be to my liking, locationwise... green grass, hotel hawaii, ibis.. any idea as to which one would be a better deal?
