Modern American Standards

We stayed here for a week. It is very nice but DO NOT have your laundry done by them, a piece of underwear costs about 4 dollars.

Unique Quality: very clean and perfect. Room service was even pretty reasonable. Very formal and courteous staff, lots of bowing. Superb location too.

Superb Hotel

This is a staggeringly beautiful hotel. The lobby is sumptuous, as are all of the public spaces. The rooms are luxurious and extremely comfortable. The views are excellent. The staff is attentive. The location is very convenient - downtown near city hall. You can walk to a numer of palaces and other attractions, and the Seoul City bus tour (cheap, and highly recommended) stops right in front of the hotel.
It cost us about $200(US) a night for a room on one of the top floors. I think the lower floor rooms are more reasonable.
There are lots of restaurants in the area, including some very reasonably priced ones at the top of the Lotte Dept. Store which is connected to the hotel. There is also a bakery on the lower level where you can buy inexpensive, tasty items and good coffee for breakfast.

Unique Quality: great views, beautiful spaces

Luxury Hotel

We stayed here for four nights in October 2003. The room was luxurious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the view was spectacular. It cost $200USD a night but it was worth it.
Even if you do not stay here go in and wander around the lobby. It's spectacular.

Unique Quality: The location of this hotel cannot be beat. The Seoul City Bus Tour (highly recommended and very affordable) stops right outside the hotel. There are very inexpensive restaurants located on the top floors of the adjacent Lotte Dept. Store.

Excellent city centre hotel

A great place to stay with all sorts of facilities - swimming pool, gym, several restaurants, etc. Very helpful staff. Wonderful views over the city from the higher floors. Would certainly recommend if budget is not a problem - it is a bit expensive.

Unique Quality: Has direct access to underground shopping arcade which leads to the Lotte Department Store (11 floors) - this was very useful during the monsoon season!

Romantic and luxury hotel in Jeju-island

by fabulous36 about jeju lotte hotel

This hotel is my best hotel I've ever seen in South Korea.
Jeju island is the most attractive place located at edge of south side.
You can enjoy fully all the attraction in safe and comfortable way.
jeju lotte have extremely romantic landscape. I think it is good for honeymoon.
In front of hotel, it have beutiful pond and windmill and garden. you can share landscape of real sea with it at the your terrace.
and also you can attend fire dragon show like show in lasvegas with your dinner.
This hotel is also famous site for filming location.
It have clean and luxury room and delicious moning buffet too. It have luxury interior both inside and out side. A lot of useful facilities.
But best of all is amazing views in terrace of course.

Transportation from Incheon International Airport to Lotte Hotel Seoul

by unpretty

Hi,

I will be staying at Lotte Hotel Seoul. What is the best way to reach the hotel from Incheon International Airport?

The hotel's address is 1 Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul

I checked the hotel's website and they mentioned:
1. KAL Limousine Bus (which costs 15,000 won)
2. Subway
-> Line#2 Entrance #7 & 8 from Eljiro 1ga Station
-> Line#1 City Hall Station, 5 minutes on foot

I am thinking of taking the subway but is it easily accessible from Incheon International Airport? Can I take subway from Incheon station direct to City Hall station (without requiring any transfers)? From the subway website, it costs 1,600 won, travel time 70minutes.

Appreciate suggestions.

Thanks!

The subway does not go all the way out to Incheon. You can take either a bus or the train to Gimpo airport, then get the subway there.

If you take the KAL limosine bus, the fee will be about 15000 KRW as you noted. However, you can take alternative city buses to city center for much less money. I do not recall the exact bus number or door number, but the information booths at the arrivals area are very helpful and will give you exact bus details.

From Incheon Airport there is a train to the domestic airport and from there you change straight onto the subway. It is not really hard to use as the names of stations are in English and although not everyone speaks English, Koreans are very helpful and if you need help you will get it.

You can buy your tickets from a machine or state your destination at the ticketing office and they will sort you out.

Hi I travelled regularly to Seoul on business and stayed in Lotte Hotel (a very verys nice Hotel by the way).

For sakes of convenience, I strongly recommend to take the Limousine bus. It drops you off directly in front of the Check-in/reception and is far less trouble than other options.

The bus is really worth the money, as it is also very comfortable to sit. Do consider that the trip from Incheon to down town is far more than 1 hour...

I am not sure, but if I am not mistaken, you are not allowed to take luggage on the subway. Better if you double check this, before you decide on this.

You can take luggage on the subway. I've done it many times. It may be more difficult during rush hour, but it is allowed.

I've taken the limo bus dozens of times too. It is by far the most convenient way if you can afford the $14.
