This is a staggeringly beautiful hotel. The lobby is sumptuous, as are all of the public spaces. The rooms are luxurious and extremely comfortable. The views are excellent. The staff is attentive. The location is very convenient - downtown near city hall. You can walk to a numer of palaces and other attractions, and the Seoul City bus tour (cheap, and highly recommended) stops right in front of the hotel. It cost us about $200(US) a night for a room on one of the top floors. I think the lower floor rooms are more reasonable. There are lots of restaurants in the area, including some very reasonably priced ones at the top of the Lotte Dept. Store which is connected to the hotel. There is also a bakery on the lower level where you can buy inexpensive, tasty items and good coffee for breakfast.
We stayed here for four nights in October 2003. The room was luxurious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the view was spectacular. It cost $200USD a night but it was worth it. Even if you do not stay here go in and wander around the lobby. It's spectacular.
The location of this hotel cannot be beat. The Seoul City Bus Tour (highly recommended and very affordable) stops right outside the hotel. There are very inexpensive restaurants located on the top floors of the adjacent Lotte Dept. Store.
A great place to stay with all sorts of facilities - swimming pool, gym, several restaurants, etc. Very helpful staff. Wonderful views over the city from the higher floors. Would certainly recommend if budget is not a problem - it is a bit expensive.
Has direct access to underground shopping arcade which leads to the Lotte Department Store (11 floors) - this was very useful during the monsoon season!
Nice top quality hotel. Very close to City Hall subway and a minute's walk to the shopping district of Myong Dong!!!! The bar in the basement Bobby London is a great place to chill and relax with great music by phillipino singers!!!
