probably the easiest and most cost effective (not the cheapest) would be to take one of the limousine buses from the airport. Since you didn't mention a hotel, but a subway stop in the area, probably your best bus to take would be the #6015 headed for Myeongdong. Here are the links with information for it here:
http://www.airport.kr/airport/traffic/bus/busList.iia?flag=E&fake=1237796451136
http://www.airport.kr/airport/traffic/bus/busView.iia?seq=124&flag=E
The first link will tell you how to catch the buses at the airport and the cost. If you scroll down and look for the 6015 bus, you can click on it (the second link is what you should get) and it will show you the stops that bus makes. Listen carefully for your stop as some driver do not speak clearly. If you print a copy of the route map, you will get an idea when your stop is coming up.
I think the fare for this bus is still 10,000 yen (about $10 US) and runs about every 20-30 minutes from the airport. Using the light rail from Incheon to Gimpo and switching to the subway for a ride to Chungmuro Station would be slightly cheaper, but a lot less convieniant; especially if you have luggage and it is rush hour in Seoul when you arrive. The bus will be faster too.
You could take a taxi and he would drop you right at the address (maybe), but it would be very expensive compared to the bus. I said maybe, because addresses aren't exactly that easy to find in Seoul so most taxi drivers will need an area to go to; not an exact address as they navigate a lot by landmarks (GPS is little use in Seoul for exact locations). So if you do decide to take a taxi, if he doesn't understand the address, just tell him "Chungmuro" If you are really lucky, you might get an English-speaking driver.
Travel Tips for Seoul
Handphones
by chatterley
We marvelled at the Korean technology of handphones.... the screen resolution was great, vivid colourful pictures, weather resistant....it is little wonder that Korean electronic goods brands (eg. Samsung) are increasing their share of the market pie. And it seemed to us that a large majority of Koreans own handphones, even youngsters. This phenomenon is also common in Singapore, where many teenagers own more than one handphone!
For Singaporean travellers, it is useless to bring your handphones to Korea, as they use CDMA instead of GSM (if my memory doesn't fail me). We bought phone cards instead.

May 5 is Children's Day -- A Day Off from Work
by AKtravelers
Korea has this great holiday called children's day, where most businesses close so that parents can spend the day with their kids. On 5 May, the parks and palaces are full of families and most tourist attractions put on special demonstrations for the children.
Religion in Korea
by Ewingjr98
The primary religions in Korea are Christianity and Buddhism.
Despite it's late arrival in Korea, Christianity is the primary religion of about 21% of the total population. Christian churches and cathedrals are common throughout the land. South Korea has the second highest rate of Christianity in eastern Asia, with the Philippines being first. Christianity in Korea is usually associated with modern reformist thinkers.
Buddhism, not surprisingly, comes in a close second in Korean religion with about 20 % of the population. Buddhist temples are typically beautiful, secluded compounds high in the mountains, though a few are located within the cities. Buddhism is Korea is typically associated with conservative, old fashioned thinking.
Packing List
by Kindra
I didn't exactly intend on visiting Korea per say and February is not the optimum time to go. Although the palaces may look beatiful covered with white snow, it is cold and transportation seemed to shut down with the storm. It was about -5 degrees which is rather mild to some Canadian and Scandanavian standards but a good winter coat and boots are necessary!!! We were slipping and sliding all over the place. Visine!!!! Maybe it is just Asiana or maybe just all long distance jets, but in an effort to sedate all the passengers (at an unreasonable local hour), the heat was turned up and the oxygen was lowered. My eyes were sooooo dry and bloodshot and it took days for one to clear up. I would have loved some visine then. It doesnt matter what kind of travel, bring a Korean dictionary and learn some basics before arrival. It is unreasonable to expect Koreans to all speak english and I found communication was very difficult when I found myself in a dire situation. Between my travelling companion and I we spoke 7 languages but not a word of Korean. Even on the plane and in the airport where I am sure english is more common, I found it extremely difficult to understand people and be understood.
